The Elsa Heisel Sule Charitable Foundation provided a grant to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati to support its Summer Sports Camps for children, featuring Goldfish Swim School classes ”Jump Start Swim” classes and “iCan Bike” camps. These opportunities enable participants to build skills, confidence, discover new interests and form meaningful connections.

Kari Kester of DSAGC explains how it provides therapeutic, educational, recreational and social programs designed for people with Down syndrome of all ages. Program Coordinators provide personalized support, guidance and resources on topics which are critical to families.

The Elsa Heisel Sule Charitable Foundation has made a grant to Mustang Journey of Goshen, Ohio to support its “Trust and Valor for Veterans” program. Mustang Journey is dedicated to healing Wild Mustangs in confinement and US Service Veterans dealing with PTSD, substance dependency and/or homelessness. Mustang Journey provides the benefits of equine-assisted interaction to Veterans, First Responders and the Community at large, while rescuing Wild Mustangs that have been removed from free roaming herds and held in captivity.

Mustang Journey served over 425 Veterans in 2024. In 2018, two studies, at Baylor University and University of Missouri-Columbia both revealed “clinically significant decreases in PSTD symptoms” and quantified the benefits to vets with PSTD working with wild mustang horses.
