A filter small enough to fit in an adult hand is changing lives in Madagascar 💧

Because of your support, hundreds of families now have access to clean drinking water through the Hope 2 Others partnership with the Diocese of Toliara and Education Equals Hope. Families are getting sick less often, spending less on medical care, and gaining back time for work, family, and ministry.

Thank you for giving HOPE through clean water-one family and one filter at a time.

This past quarter, a powerful cyclone caused widespread destruction across Madagascar, with Toamasina being one of the hardest-hit communities. Many of our sponsored students and their families were directly affected, and schools were closed for two weeks as communities worked to recover.

Even in the midst of these challenges, we continue to see the resilience of the children, families, and local leaders we serve. Thank you for standing with our students and their families as they rebuild and move forward with HOPE. 💚

A Note of HOPE from Sebastien

My name is Sebastien. I am 19 years old and I live in Ankilifaly.

I am currently in 9th grade, and I am happy to share that I passed my exams. I am doing well and am thankful to continue my studies.

Thank you so much for the support you have given me. Your help has made a big difference in my life, and I am truly grateful.

Seeing the difference your generosity is making

In March, our Hope on the Ground Team visited students and families in Madagascar. Hearing their stories and spending time in their homes was a powerful reminder of how your support is providing education, opportunity, and hope.

A New Building at R.A.D.O.S.

R.A.D.O.S. - Raising Destitute Orphans is currently serving 26 children, and we are grateful to share that every child is currently attending school. Because of your continued support, these children are receiving not only an education, but also the care and stability they need to grow.

As we continue to settle into our new property, we remain hopeful that continued fundraising efforts will allow us to complete the new building and provide a safe place for children and the surrounding community to learn.

Recently, the family has also faced another difficult challenge. Constance, our house mother and cook who cares for the children each day, has become very ill and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Please keep Constance in your prayers as she navigates this devastating news. We ask for prayer for wisdom, clarity, and provision as doctors determine the next steps.

A New Beginning

Each child who comes to Uganda Family Spirit has a story, and some begin in the most fragile of circumstances.

Lagum’s story began in one of those fragile moments.

At just one week old, Lagum was found abandoned in a banana plantation in Uganda. A local woman discovered the infant and immediately brought her to the Police Station. Officers referred the case to the Probation Officer in Masindi, who arranged for the child to be placed at UFS, the only facility of its kind in the region.

Lagum was received at the Centre on March 21st, 2026. She was immediately welcomed into the Centre’s family, surrounded by warmth and care.

Today, Lagum is no longer alone. She has a place to belong and people to care for her. Her story is a reminder of why Uganda Family Spirit exists: to step in when the most vulnerable have nowhere else to turn, and to transform crisis into HOPE.

An update from our Executive Director sharing the final results of our Goats of Hope campaign and the meaningful difference your support is making in the lives of families we serve.

This Mother’s Day, our Goats for Hope campaign brought our community together in such a meaningful way, and we are incredibly grateful.

Because of your generosity, mothers in Uganda received goats that will provide milk for their children, income for their families, and lasting hope.

Thank you for honoring a woman in your life in a way that creates sustainable impact for a woman in Uganda.
