New Month, Same Mission! 💪🏻🎗️🦄

As it’s guiding mission, Wren’s Village aims to provide:

WREN’S WALLETS
$250 in gift cards to help with gas, medications, food, some fun, and a lot of hope to ease the unexpected burden that pediatric cancer has on a family, regardless of where they are in their journey.

FUNDING
To support pediatric cancer research. As of 2023, funding for pediatric cancer research totals less than 4% on a national level.

SPARKING AWARENESS TO ACTION
Through outreach, education, & blood drives.

When Stella and I went with Wren to the 2023 Atrium Health Foundation’s Young Ambassador’s celebration at our beloved Levine Children’s Hospital.

We are forever indebted to this place and these people. We will always continue to support in all the ways, with love and appreciation. 🎗️🦄🫶🏻

Friday Fact: In the time it takes to watch a movie, approximately 48 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with a blood cancer.

As its guiding mission, one of the things that Wren’s Village aims to provide is funding to support pediatric cancer research. As of 2023, funding for pediatric cancer research totals less than 4% on a national level.

While childhood leukemia has the highest cure rate of any blood cancer, it is also the # 1 disease killer among children under the age of 20. This needs to change!

Wren's Village is a proud supporter of Blood Cancer United. We know that they are making big strides to end cancer for all — which is no longer a science problem, it’s a funding problem.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, Blood Cancer United:
🎗️ Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics + personalized medicine that are improving + saving the lives of patients

🎗️ Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate development of new cancer treatments + break down barriers to care.

7 years ago … also her first appearance at the Levine Children’s Gala 🎗️🦄

This memory comes up every year and I just have to share. We are so incredibly thankful. 🫶🏻

My words from 2019 ⬇️

I’m just going to leave this here. I don’t have a lot of words, but I will say that I am in tears every.time. I watch it. Wren just takes my breath away sometimes ... and thinking about the possibility of a world without her in it, can make it hard for that breath to return. Without , that possibility would be a reality.

This was played at the Levine Children’s Gala about a month ago. More money was raised that evening than ever before. This beautiful piece by local artist Marcy Gregg “Celebration” was one of the big items auctioned. The winner also got Wren’s art in the deal 🦄. It was her interpretation of ringing the bell and going to Hawaii (hence the gold and rainbows).

I was honored to be able to attend to see this in person, thanks to the ’s generosity in allowing me to sit at their table with a few other warrior moms. The strength seated around that table was unbelievable.

I am also incredibly appreciative of Jennifer Lumpkin of for allowing us to use her beautiful art studio to film. It is Wren’s favorite place to make her art.
