Ah, to be here again.
Last time, we testified for 6 hours to get the police integrity bill passed. We won that one.

But what do we do with our dead? One would assume that when you hand them over to a funeral home, they'd be in good hands. We've found that's not necessarily true.

Today, I speak again for my dead son, and for yours. Please stand with us as we change the death industry and demand accountability and transparency.

Today is the eighth anniversary of the second time men with badges murdered someone I loved. No matter how many times I watch the video, I will never not see LaVoy with his hands in the air. No amount of FBI cover-up and political pandering we'll make his death okay.

The gunshots to my friends back should have been enough to wake people up to blue backed homicide. Instead, 8 years and more than 13,000 deaths later, we are arguing over which group of people are killed more and whether or not we will support each other because of social status, political or religious views, and where we come from.

Whether a person of color killed on the streets while shouting his fears of the men with guns, an autistic boy killed in his kitchen as he screams his dead baby's name, or a 55 year old man killed while demanding his Constitutional rights (and yours) be honored - police homicide must end.

What are YOU doing to stop the police state?

Rest in Peace LaVoy. You were my favorite cowboy. I'm angry with you.

Today, I'm remembering Shane Jensen, killed by police at 19 years old. Today would be his 25th birthday. Instead, his mother Krystal and his twin mourn a loss that is indescribable.

We stand with you and send you love from afar, my friend. May the world remember his story.

I woke again this morning, I was feeling so alone
That was when I realized, someone else lives in my home
I don’t know who she is, I don’t recognize her face
Cause the girl she used to be, left without a trace
She looks a lot like someone, that I used to know
But when the cops killed her son, her face she didn’t show
I watch her put on lotions, trying to cover up the years
She doesn’t know that I saw, her eyes were filled with tears
This girl looks familiar, though her face has really changed
Her hair’s a little darker ‘cuz she covers up some grays
Nothing that she tries to do, really, ever hides the rough
Cause I know quite honestly, her brave’s not quite enough
I sometimes hear her weeping, as she lays upon the floor
Trying to cry away the sorrow, like so many days before
The color and the brightness have faded from her eyes
But if you knew her story, it would come as no surprise
The smile lines that used to be, now turned upside down
And it seems it never leaves, her face without a frown
Oh! I know she’s angry, I can hear it in her screams
“I just want to see my son, please tell me it’s a dream”
I often catch a glimpse of her in the reflection of a screen
As she types I can see, that she is really me
I guess this game is over, can’t pretend that I don’t see
That emptiness and sadness has taken over “we”
Tomorrow we will rise again, and go back to the start
And pile on the makeup, to hide our broken heart.

Today was the second half of Carie's preliminary hearing. Carie was present and shackled.

The Judge determined People showed probable cause for the following :

Counts 1-4 F3 Money Laundering 18-5-309

Counts 66-70 Theft 18-4-401 1, 2G

Counts 5-65 Forgery 18-5-102 1e

Counts 71-260 Abuse of a Co**se 18-13-101

Judge confirmed ancillary to abuse, the Hallfords were experimenting with water cremation and contemplating other methods of disposal.

The FBI and coroner looked me in the eye and insisted it was impossible that chemicals were used on my son's co**se and have made not just me, but several others feel insane for believing water cremation was a possibility. This is the first time we've heard from authorities that it is not just possible, but true. The implications of this are enormous and alarming.

Bond was lowered to $100k property, surety or cash.

I sat in court yesterday as more than 60 pictures were shown of bodies stacked on top of each other, shoved onto shelves, tossed into corners. The FBI agent said it was the worst scene he's ever attended.

My son was one of those bodies. They numbered the rooms A-N. Based upon what I now know, I believe he was in Room L.

There was no refrigeration. There was no climate control. You couldn't tell what color the floors used to be through the 8" of decomp fluids and bugs. They had bug bombs and shop vacs to try to mitigate. They failed miserably.

We also learned that they have exhumed the body of a man from the national cemetary. It was the wrong body. A woman laid in the grave in his place, wrapped in duct tape.

The text messages between the two were horrendous.
“I want to take a shower as soon as I get back because while I was making the transfer, I got people juice on me. Want the double cheeseburger, lettuce, wrapped with everything minus tomatoes, please”.

This was Carie's first hearing. There are many more to come.

And we still don't have mental health services.

Families need help.
We don't care if it comes from the FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the 11th Judicial District or the 4th, Red Cross, The Salvation Army USA or individuals in our community.

Families are hurting and we need assistance.
I'm happy to discuss why each of the agencies tagged above have not been options. There are more than 200 more I could list. I've called. I've tried. We need you to try for us.

Remember, 190 bodies have been identified. My son was one of them. There are a large number of these that have yet been unidentified and a larger number yet who used this service and have not yet been notified as to whether their loved ones are among those found. This means not 190, but many more hundreds are waiting and not knowing if they will ever know.

These families need mental health assistance, from ongoing grief counseling to immediate trauma response. If you are able to join with us in finding and providing these resources, please message me or comment below.
