πΊπΈ **WHY WE REMEMBER β GENELLE GUZMAN-MCMILLAN** πΊπΈ
On September 11, 2001, the world changed forever.
**Genelle Guzman-McMillan** became known as the last person rescued alive from the ruins of the World Trade Center. Trapped beneath the rubble for **27 hours**, she survived against incredible odds. Her story is a powerful reminder of courage, hope, perseverance, and the will to live.
But Genelle's story is also a reminder of the **thousands who never made it home.**
The firefighters who ran into the towers.
The police officers who answered the call.
The EMS professionals who rushed toward the devastation.
The passengers who fought back on Flight 93.
The innocent people who simply went to work that morning.
The families who were forever changed.
**That is why we are doing the Remember Our Heroes 5K.**
On **September 12, 2026**, we will come together to commemorate the **25th Anniversary of 9/11**βnot simply to remember a terrible day, but to honor the incredible courage and sacrifice of the heroes who gave everything to save others.
We run for those who ran toward danger.
We walk for those who never came home.
We ruck to carry their memory forward.
And we gather to make sure the next generation knows their stories.
**Genelle survived. Thousands did not. We remember them all.**
