With so many new people coming to the center now and joining our group, I just wanted to explain what we do and who we are. We are a nonprofit group who strives to make our community a better place by helping anyone in need. We do not charge for the items we have and are able to do this through the generous donations from our community. We are here to help anyone who needs it. We do not require proof of I.D., who lives in the household, income ECT. We do not turn anyone away. The community center is run by a few dedicated volunteers who put in many hours at the center because we care about people and believe in doing God's work. We do not have any paid staff, so donations go right back into the center. Since items are donated to us to give to others, we asked that items taken from the center not be sold at yard sales, eBay or other outlets. We are not doing this for others to take advantage of the center or the good people who donate so someone else can make a profit off these items. Also, we do have a limit on some items. This not to be mean to anyone. On some items we have a higher need of or we are limited on the amount of some items donated. We do this so we can help as many people as possible. Everyone who comes is always welcome to come back and check for more in the following weeks. Also, we request that everyone check out at the back desk. Not only does this give a chance to check you out, but we can help you out with your items and find out if you have any other needs or needing something in particular. We have had a few people who have been. reminded to check out at the back., stuff bags and take off out the door because they are worried about how much they have taken. If that is your concern, then you probably have. Please be mindful, there are many people who are in the same. situation and need things too. Everyone of you are very important hand we care about all of you. We keep trying to come up with ideas as to how we can make the center a better place for all needing help.
