Sergeants Major Association The Sergeants Major Association of the Northwest (SMA) is a group of active and retired E-9's of all services that serve their community and fellowship.

The Sergeants Major Association is a nonprofit organization with the objective of supporting Soldiers, Government and Civilian Organizations in the Joint Lewis-McChord Community. As an Association, we shall instill and promote the comradeship of its members and their families, enhance the prestige of and promote cooperation amongst all Sergeants Major, active and retired in order to help aid and b

etter the local military installations and communities and provide a means of mutual exchange of professional and technical knowledge. Additionally, as a recent organized 501-3C Charitable Organization, The Association will assist military and veteran’s organizations to raise money for military events like the Army Ball, other military balls, military themed picnics, etc. as long as at least one member of the requesting organization is a member of the Association and approved by the membership. We will also support Soldier programs approved by the Membership.

ATTENTION DRIVERS: New JBLM Gate Procedures 🛑

JBLM drivers are now required to stop at posted stop signs prior to entering gates/access control points.

You must wait to be motioned forward by the gate guards, then proceed slowly to have your ID card scanned. Do not proceed forward into the access control point until directed to do so by the gate guards.

This additional procedure is being done to enhance overall installation security.

A great day to give back to the City of Lacey.

Thanks to all the Sergeants Major who showed up today to help clean up the Lacey Civic Plaza and the Gold Star Family Memorial.

We wanted to make sure that everything is ready for Memorial Day.
