Don't forget we are still taking applications for our Operation Ride Home up through November 9th! Go online, make sure to fill out the application and download the ASYMCA Leave Date Approval Form as well to submit with your application. We do not need your official military leave paperwork, you just need to fill out the application and our Leave Form so we can see what dates you put in for with your command. OPERATION RIDE HOME APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

There’s no place like home for the holidays.

The Armed Services YMCA, in partnership with Jack Daniel’s, is proud to offer Operation Ride Home, helping bring military families together for the holidays by subsidizing travel costs for eligible service members and their dependents who might not otherwise have the financial means to travel home.

The program is open to eligible E1–E5 military households from all six service branches who are active duty or reserve and based at an installation in the Fort Leonard Wood area.

Assistance may include airline tickets or travel gift cards for eligible service members, spouses, and dependent children ages 0–18.

2026 Application Period: September 14 – November 9.

Please help us spread the word throughout the Fort Leonard Wood military community so eligible families don’t miss this opportunity!

OUR SHELVES ARE EMPTY, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!

It’s been an incredibly busy week at the Armed Services YMCA of Missouri Food Pantry! While we are grateful to be able to help so many military families, the increased need has left several of our shelves completely empty.

We are reaching out to our amazing community to help us restock! Please see our Amazon link below:

🥣 BREAKFAST ITEMS & GRAINS — OUR SHELVES ARE COMPLETELY EMPTY!

* Boxed Cereals (all varieties)

These photos tell the story. Every empty shelf represents food that has gone home with a family who needed a little extra support.

Our food pantry is more than just shelves filled with groceries. It’s a lifeline for military families facing difficult times, and we never want to turn a family away because we don’t have enough to give.

If you’re able to pick up just one or two extra items during your next grocery trip, you can make a difference! Every donation, big or small, helps us continue taking care of those who serve our country.

Field Trip Fun at Still Waters Farm!

Our kiddos had an AMAZING time today during their field trip to Still Waters Farm! From exploring the farm and meeting the animals to learning, laughing, and making memories with their friends, there were smiles everywhere.

There’s something pretty special about taking learning outside the classroom and giving our little ones the opportunity to experience new things firsthand!

A huge THANK YOU to Still Waters Farm for welcoming our Armed Services YMCA kiddos and helping make today such a fun and memorable adventure. We think it’s safe to say we had some tired, and very happy kids by the end of the day!

We love creating opportunities like this for our military children and families!
