☀️ One last donation drop before summer! 📦

We were able to donate lots of books, fidget toys for summer classes, & some snacks for the food pantry.

To the President of PTO, the mastermind, the queen of creativity, the heart and soul!! Where would we be without you? We would be lost, plain and simple! You have been the glue that has held us together for the past 2 years. You show everyone kindness and patience! You always listen and hear what people say so we can improve from their feedback. We are all so grateful for you and the time you have given to the school, the kids, and the families! You truly are one of a kind 🥰🐯

𝔽𝕀𝔼𝕃𝔻 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕎𝔸𝕊 𝔸 𝕊𝕌ℂℂ𝔼𝕊𝕊 ☀️

The weather held off, everyone loved it, we had souvenirs 🕶️ and we received such great feedback from both students & teachers! We truly hope every student enjoyed a day full of games, snacks, races, laughter, and making memories with their friends.❤️

We are so proud of our students and how hard they work all year long; they deserve the world, & we were so happy to give back to them today! We even got Mrs. Headrick in the dunk tank, what a highlight, who wouldn’t want to dunk the principal?!💦🐯

A 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐄 shoutout goes to SSG Carter and the incredible group of CAT 1-10 Marines who volunteered their entire day to help make this possible. You made this day so special for these kids! We absolutely could not have pulled it off without you, and we are beyond grateful for your time, energy, and support 🇺🇸

✨𝓥𝓸𝓵𝓾𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓮𝓻 𝓢𝓹𝓸𝓽𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽✨

Geraldine, our Secretary, has done SO much for our PTO this year. She has gone above & beyond working with local businesses to bring in sponsorships, and if you’ve ever wondered who’s behind Popcorn Friday… it’s her. Every single time. She spends the entire day popping popcorn & filling bags for over 300 kids without missing a beat. Next year will not be the same without her

Rachael, our Vice President, has been the best partner to lean on. She’s been a constant at every event, always ready to jump in & help with whatever is needed in that moment. She has been invaluable when it comes to decision making & ideas and keeping things running smoothly. Having that kind of support makes all the difference when you have a team as small as we did.

Geraldineanne and Rachael will both be heading to new duty stations this summer, and while I know they’ll do amazing things wherever they go next, their presence is going to be so missed here! Thank you both for everything you’ve given to our PTO this year. I am beyond grateful for you, and will miss you terribly. Wishing you both nothing but success & happiness in your next chapter.❤️

Get ready for a day full of fun! Students will rotate through exciting zones filled with different activities, games, & challenges. We can’t wait to see everyone cheering each other on and ending the year with a bang! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Parents, please help your child come prepared by:
• Applying sunscreen before school
• Dressing them in comfortable clothes & shoes
• Checking the forecast and dressing appropriately for the weather 🌦️

There will be no water games, but we will have plenty of cold drinks and treats to help everyone stay cool!

As another busy school year starts winding down, we wanted to take a sec to highlight the small but mighty team behind Wood PTO 🧡🖤

We may be a small, but we care deeply about our school, our teachers, and our students. We put a lot of thought, time, & effort into everything we do, and we’re incredibly proud of everything we have been able to accomplish together this year.

From the Fall Carnival & Bingo nights to Teacher Appreciation Week and planning what’s shaping up to be an incredible Field Day for the small humans who keep us going, everything we do is for them. The long days, hours of planning, & every behind the scene detail; this is the team making it happen 🧡

We also want to give a special thanks to Isabel Breceda & Berenice Diaz ONeill for stepping in to help earlier this year during popcorn days and events; your help made things run so much smoother! & to Mrs. Amber Loyd for her unwavering support throughout the year, serving as a connection and advocate between faculty & PTO (all while being a full time teacher! You truly are superwoman🦸🏼‍♀️)

Thank you to everyone who has supported PTO, encouraged us, volunteered, or cheered us on throughout the year. We couldn’t do it without our Wood families! 🐯

As we wind down the school year, we want to take a moment to recognize & thank some more local businesses who have supported our PTO throughout the year. 🧡

We especially want to acknowledge their contributions to our last Bingo Night, which helped us raise the funds needed for Teacher Appreciation Week. Their generosity helped us put together some truly wonderful raffle baskets for that event, and we couldn’t have done it without them!

As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to an end, we just want to say thank you one more time to the incredible teachers & staff at Wood. 🧡

Today we surprised everyone with goodie bags, gift cards, chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes, and a little extra love for our specials teachers with supplies for their classrooms. It’s a small gesture compared to everything you guys pour into our kiddos each and every day.

“I appreciate you” is something people say often, but we hope you know how deeply we mean it. Teaching is not an easy job. You are shaping the minds & hearts of the small humans we love most, and we are so grateful for the patience, encouragement, & care you give them every day.

We wanted this week to be a reminder that you are seen. The long hours, extra effort, emotional energy, and constant support you give do not go unnoticed. Your impact matters more than words can fully express.

And if nobody has told you lately… you’re awesome. Thank you for loving our kids, believing in them, & helping them grow. We appreciate you more than you know. 🍎

🚪 Knock, knock, Room service!

Today, we delivered personalized snack & drink orders right to the classroom doors of our amazing teachers & staff as part of Teacher Appreciation Week! Earlier this week, everyone filled out a “room service” order form, and today we got to play delivery crew & bring a little midday pick-me-up straight to them. 🥤🍩

Sometimes it’s the small things that brighten a busy day, & we hope today’s deliveries brought a few smiles along the way 🙂

Thank you to all of our incredible teachers & staff for everything you do for Wood every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say! 🧡
