Last evening, high school graduates from the Missouri R-VI School District were celebrated during the annual Community Salute to Service ceremony at the Waynesville High School to be recognized by service members and the local community. School District Superintendent Hilary Bales conducted the event. Representatives from the US Army, US Army Reserve, National Guard, Marines, Navy and Air Force were present to welcome each new enlistee into their branch of service. 47 graduating seniors will enlist into the military this summer!
We were proud to support local recruiting efforts to the armed forces.

On Friday the US Army Engineer Corps conducted its annual Best Sapper competition featuring over 30 teams from across the Army. In an effort of community outreach, this year’s competition began at the Waynesville public park.
Members from several volunteer organizations including the Ozark Chapter MPRA and the Blue Star Families of Missouri were on ground to set up for catering to the public and to the competitors.
Take a look how it went!

Last night, the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) held their annual Mid-Missouri Chapter Annual Dinner at the Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon, MO. The guest speaker this year was LTG (Ret.) Leslie Smith, former Inspector General for the Army.
It was a great time to connect and meet leaders in the local community. Here we are enjoying the night with guests and local community leaders.

Yesterday, several members of the Ozark Chapter MPRA participated in the 28th Annual Polar Strut and Plunge, raising over a thousand dollars for the Special Olympics of Missouri. The Polar Strut was a 5K and the plunge was later in the afternoon. A big thanks to those who were able to support the event. Video to follow.
