Parents P.A.K.S. – Praying About Kids Salvation
Parents PAKS originated in 2024 as a response to address the growing and urgent request from parents to pray for their children within both Adventist and non-Adventist families. This can also be observed in the significant increase in first-time offenders in Broward County, before and after Covid-19 Pandemic, pointing to the deeper issue among parents nationwide… many parents lack the communication skills, spiritual grounding, and guidance needed to raise the next generation for Christ. While many ministries rightly emphasize the health message and physical healing, true holistic health also includes spiritual stability, emotional maturity, and strong family relationships. Ministries that intentionally strengthen the family as the foundation of the church and community are increasingly rare, yet this work is firmly rooted in the messages of our Adventist pioneers.
Relaunching March 2026, Parents PAKS will equip parents and caregivers using Spirit of Prophecy resources (Child Guidance, Adventist Home, Mind, Character, and Personality, and Steps to Christ) through parenting classes, weekly devotions, workshops, and family-centered activities. The hope of the program is to help adults grow in their relationship with God, strengthen communication skills, learn biblical conflict resolution, and build homes that reflect the values of the Kingdom of God. These skills not only strengthen families but also enhance personal witnessing, restore broken relationships, and model the Adventist lifestyle in practical, Christ-centered ways. A desire to mend broken relationships inspired the development of an avenue that connects families with Christian counselors and therapists, as well as access to funding support for these services.
