Orange County Value Adjustment Board: Seeking Qualified Special Magistrates

The Orange County Value Adjustment Board (VAB) will be accepting applications from March 9, 2026 – April 24, 2026, for qualified attorneys and appraisers interested in serving as Special Magistrates for the 2026 VAB tax cycle. Applicants need not be a resident of Orange County.

Interested applicants must meet all requirements per Section 194.035, Florida Statutes and submit their completed application, as well as supporting documentation, by April 24, 2026, no later than 5:00 p.m.

Two Value Appraisals, Instructor: Joshua Walitt, SRA, AI-RRS, Noon - 2:00 PM on July 10, live stream/synchronous. Some appraisers have never performed two value appraisals, such as before-and-after, fix-and-flip, or similar use cases for financial institutions. Many times, there is confusion over whether an appraiser is even allowed to express two appraisal conclusions in one appraisal report. We had an amazing time at our recent chapter meeting and installation ceremony. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share insights, and welcome our new leaders.
