We Finish Together

We share our medals to share our strength, so no one races the journey of life alone! WE will always hold your hand!

All medals are donated by a community of runners, swimmers, singers, traithletes all across the US to be given with a handwritten ribbon message and handmade tag to someone who needs to know they have the support, care, and love that they may need to get them through whatever challanges face them.

🏀 Calling All Crafty Volunteers! 🏀

This year, the DJ Rowell Foundation needs 300 medals from We Finish Together for the children attending their annual basketball camp, and we need your help getting them ready!

Volunteers will help create inspirational tags like these, attach them to medals, and make sure every camper receives a special keepsake reminding them to:

⭐ Believe in themselves
⭐ Follow their dreams
⭐ Never give up

For many of these children, this camp is the highlight of their summer. A simple handmade tag can become a powerful reminder that someone believes in them and is cheering them on.

⏰ We need all 300 medals completed by the end of this month, so we’re looking for volunteers who can help us make this happen.

🎓 Community service hours are available for middle school, high school, and college students, making this a great opportunity to earn service hours while giving back to children in need.

No special skills required—just a willingness to spend a little time creating something meaningful for a child.

❤️ Together, we can make sure every camper leaves feeling seen, celebrated, and proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Today, we celebrate everyone who moves forward—whether you run, walk, trot, dance, skip, roll, or cheer from the sidelines. Get outside, get moving, and remember that every step is an accomplishment worth celebrating.

At We Finish Together, we believe no one should have to face life’s challenges alone. Just like on race day, we’re stronger when we support each other.

Pam sent us medals she earned during the COVID-19 months — each one representing miles run, races completed, challenges overcome, and moments of perseverance during such an uncertain time. Included with them was the sweetest handwritten note sharing how happy she is knowing they’re going to a good place now.

We are so grateful you chose to share your hard-earned miles with us, Pam. These medals will soon become reminders of strength, encouragement, and hope for others who need it most. What may have once symbolized distance and isolation will now help create connection and comfort for people facing difficult days.

Today, on Mother’s Day, we want to honor a truly incredible mom — Kristen. 💜

While quietly battling lupus with strength and grace, Kristen continues to pour so much of herself into others. She and her children spend time decorating and handing out medals to people who need a little extra hope, encouragement, and reminder that they are not alone. Through every act of kindness, they help others keep going when life feels heavy.

And somehow, Kristen still finds time to volunteer with German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, giving love and second chances to dogs in need too.

She doesn’t do these things for recognition. She does them because that’s who she is — compassionate, selfless, resilient, and unbelievably strong.

Kristen, your quiet courage speaks loudly. Thank you for showing your children, and all of us, what it means to lead with heart even while fighting battles of your own.

WE are deeply saddened to share our special friend, Adele left this world just shy of her 96th birthday. She was a Holocaust survivor who shared her stories, strength, and passion with others.

In April 2018, my daughter Aimee met Adele on her International March of the Living trip. What began as a moment of connection became a beautiful bond rooted in history, resilience, and love. Adele didn’t just tell her story — she entrusted it to the next generation.

I later had the profound honor of sharing lunch with her and hearing firsthand about the unimaginable losses she endured… and the extraordinary strength she carried forward. She chose joy. She chose light. She chose to admonish hate and teach love.

We were honored to send Adele a We Finish Together medal in recognition of her unwavering bravery and her commitment to educating teens from around the country. She wore it with pride — not for herself, but for the responsibility she felt to remember and to teach.

Her legacy does not end here. It lives on in every young person who heard her story, in every act of kindness done in her honor, and in the commitment to stand against hate.

Forever 10.

Kase earned his angel wings after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. Though his time here was far too short, the way he lived — with courage, positivity, and unwavering grit — will last forever.

Through every treatment, every hard day, every moment that asked more of him than any child should ever have to give… Kase showed us what it truly means to We Finish Together. He was never alone. His mom, his family, and his sweet sister were by his side — and now, we carry him forward in that same spirit.

We are so honored to have connected with his incredible mom on TikTok and to have sent medals to both Kase and his sister — a symbol that this journey was never his alone. Their bond is unbreakable. Siblings like that don’t just grow up together… they fight together. They love fiercely together. They finish together.

To his family — we are wrapping you in love, strength, and the gentlest hugs.

Fly high, brave boy. Your light, your smile, your fight… they live on. 🕊️✨
