🙏💙💛 A Blessed Beginning to a New Kiwanis Year!

This past Sunday, the Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes enjoyed a beautiful time of worship and fellowship at the Fort Lauderdale Seventh-day Adventist Church as we celebrated our President’s Church Service.

It is a cherished tradition of our club to begin each administrative year in the presence of the Lord, seeking His guidance, wisdom, and blessings as we renew our commitment to serving children and strengthening our communities.

As we embrace President Traceyann Wisdom’s 2026–2027 theme, “Educate, Empower, Elevate,” we are reminded that faith, unity, and service are the foundation upon which we can educate young minds, empower lives, and elevate our communities.

Following an uplifting worship service, we were treated to a delightful brunch graciously hosted by Dr. Hubert Wilkie, First Lady Esther Wilkie, and the wonderful members of the church congregation. Their warmth, generosity, and hospitality made the occasion even more special.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. and First Lady Wilkie and the entire church family for welcoming us with open arms and helping us begin another year of meaningful service on such a blessed and memorable note.

As we embark on this new Kiwanis year, may we continue to be guided by faith, strengthened through fellowship, and united in our mission of improving the world, one child and one community at a time.

ALL ABOARD! THE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN!

A New Day. A New Year. A New Opportunity to Serve!

The Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes officially kicked off its first in-person business meeting of the 2026–2027 administrative year, and what a wonderful beginning it was!

Guided by our theme, EDUCATE. EMPOWER. ELEVATE., members were welcomed by three beautifully displayed posters at the entrance, each representing a pillar of our journey ahead.

But there was a little twist!

As members entered the room, they received a specially designed KCLL Boarding Pass, symbolizing their commitment to join me on this journey of service, growth, and meaningful impact.

Members were encouraged to keep their boarding passes in a safe place, as they will play a special role in our celebration at the end of this presidential year. So, KCLL family, hold on to those boarding passes! POur journey has only just begun!

To complete our travel experience, our amazing Administrative Team served familiar airline snacks as committee reports were presented and plans for the year ahead were shared.

And what a sight it was! Our Board members proudly donned their orange jackets for our first official Board photograph, a beautiful display of the unity, commitment, and shared purpose that will guide this administration.

Another special highlight was the opportunity to capture photographs with our Committee Chairs, the dedicated individuals who will help turn our plans into action. These photographs represent more than a leadership team; they symbolize partnership, shared responsibility, and our collective commitment to making a difference. Together, we are ready to get to work!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to every member who joined us, our guests, whether in person or online. Your presence, participation, and enthusiasm remind us that the strength of KCLL lies in its people.

Special appreciation to our Administrative Team, Vice President Keisha, and Chair Lydia, for their efforts in preparing the room and bringing our vision to life. Your dedication helped make the evening memorable!

As your President, I am excited about the road ahead and grateful to have each of you traveling alongside me.

We have much to accomplish, many lives to touch, and many opportunities to make a difference.

KCLL PRIDE ON FULL DISPLAY!

The Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes was out in full force at the first Division 23 Council Meeting of the new Kiwanis year on October 1, 2026!

With 24 KCLL members proudly wearing our official club shirts, our presence was strong as we stepped into 2026–2027, ready for another year of meaningful service and community impact.

Held on the first Thursday of each month, the Division 23 Council Meeting brings together the 14 clubs of the Division to share successes, upcoming projects, community concerns and best practices, while receiving important District and Kiwanis International updates. Just as importantly, DCM provides an opportunity for fellowship, networking and strengthening the relationships that help us serve better together.

This first DCM was especially meaningful for KCLL as we proudly stood alongside our Division and club leadership, including DP Charles Spence, our new Lieutenant Governor, and President Traceyann Wisdom, as we welcomed the dawn of a new Kiwanis year.

📚🎉 Building a Legacy of Literacy—Together!

Today we proudly unveiled four Little Free Libraries at Willie Webb Sr. Park, Northgate Neighborhood Park, Cypress Preserve Park, and Vincent Torres Memorial Park.

This is part of our eight-library project, made possible through the partnership of the Kiwanis Club of Lauderdale Lakes, City of Lauderdale Lakes, and Christian Life Center.

All eight libraries have been built and secured, with five now installed, including our first at Trailhead Park.

Our libraries are stocked with over 700 books, ready for children and families to enjoy! 📖💙

Kudos to our Service Leadership Programs and Youth Children Priority One teams, our partners, and every Kiwanian who helped make this vision a reality.

Now it’s your turn, community! Visit a library, take a book, read a book, return or donate a book, and help us keep the pages turning!

KCLL SHOWED UP!

What a great way to kick off the new administration! We attended our first Division Council Meeting (DCM) and proudly came out in true KCLL style to support our very own, newly installed Lieutenant Governor Charles Spence! Our division has 14 clubs.

It was wonderful to see our club represented, engaged, and ready to make an impact as we begin this new chapter together.

Our theme for this administration says it all:

✨ EDUCATE. EMPOWER. ELEVATE. ✨

We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to a year of service, leadership, fellowship, and making a difference in our community.
