One of our team members was able to visit with Miracle yesterday. Upon entering, Miracle immediately perked up her head, stood up and started walking over, which was an amazing improvement in and of itself. Her eyes are now wide open and she loves to take in all the sights, sounds and smells. We were able to go outside with her, where she enjoyed some sunshine. I hear she now loves to chase lizards! What a difference from a dog who couldn’t even stand just five short days ago!!!
She just had a vet visit yesterday. We are waiting on the bloodwork results to see if her levels, especially her sodium levels, have improved 🙏🏼. She does seem to have some neurological issues going on. She will be seeing a neurologist, hopefully, within the next week. We will have her neurologically evaluated to get a possible diagnosis and find out if this is a result of the trauma and abuse 😟. She does also have some dermatological issues and sores. The vet feels this is a result of the abuse and neglect 😟. She will also be seeing a dermatologist to be examined and treated at a deeper level for those issues.
