All eight of our TCS Sydney Marathon runners finished, and one of them qualified for Boston.

Courtney Connelly ran a Boston Qualifier in Sydney, which is a huge deal and we are so proud of her. Sloane O’Cone ran in honor of her Aunt Patti. Ana Diaz ran for the animals without a voice and the kids who will inherit this planet. Cristina Rodriguez ran for the kids in our SEED classrooms. Peter Kelly, Mason Slover, Erik Haines, and Amanda Irish went the full distance right alongside them.

Every mile they ran funds free education, that covers the power of choice, for kids in our community, and we’re so grateful for all of them carrying our name all the way to Sydney.

Heal The Planet and The Circle of Life Experience present: Permaculture In The Park 🎉

This is a monthly permaculture-focused gardening workshop series for families aimed at nurturing a love for nature, promoting healthy habits, and teaching environmental responsibility through hands-on learning activities.

Join us on the 4th Saturday of the month to learn all 12 Permaculture Principles through observation, hands-on practice, mindfulness techniques, art, and reflection.

You could walk away from tomorrow’s event with 10 free workout classes.

F45 Training Aventura donated a 10-class package worth $250 and three one-week passes to our race day raffle, and May went a good deal further than that. She has supported us beyond ways we can explain.

That’s the kind of thing that makes an event like this possible, and we’re endlessly grateful for it.

The raffle is happening tomorrow, race morning, at Charnow Park. Prizes are valid at F45 Training Aventura.

Jared Firestone is joining us as our special guest at the award ceremony. He grew up in South Florida, was a Broward County district champion sprinter, and ran track at Tulane before earning his law degree at Cardozo. It was during law school that he got seriously ill, and skeleton came into his life as part of his recovery.

He fell for it completely. Eight medals on Olympic qualifying circuits later, including Israel’s first ever gold in skeleton, he’d climbed to 44th in the world. He still practices law, and he speaks to audiences around the world about resilience and turning hard things into something else.

We’re honored to have him with us on September 20, and our finishers are getting their awards from someone who knows exactly what it takes to keep going.
