For years, I was focused on helping people after they got sick.

Then I became fascinated by a different question:

Why do we get sick in the first place?

As I worked with more and more people, I started noticing a pattern.

Many of them carried something long before the diagnosis.

A childhood trauma.

A major loss.

Grief.

Years of stress.

Low self-worth.

Constant self-criticism.

They were carrying emotional weight their bodies never seemed to forget.

As a holistic therapist, herbalist, and frequency therapist, that realization changed the direction of my work.

I stopped focusing only on the illness.

I started looking at the whole person.

Their story.

Their habits.

Their emotions.

Their relationships.

Because sometimes the diagnosis is only part of the story.

That’s when my research began.

Not on how to treat illness.

But on how to understand what may have contributed to it in the first place.

The relationship you have with yourself shapes every part of your life.

The way you speak to yourself.
The way you handle stress.
The way you respond to challenges.
The way you show up for the people you love.

Self-love isn’t about bubble baths and positive quotes.

It’s about keeping promises to yourself.

It’s about discipline when you don’t feel motivated.

It’s about self-respect when nobody is watching.

It’s about appreciating how far you’ve come instead of only focusing on how far you still have to go.

Most of us spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we forget to check in with ourselves.

Singing bowls and sound frequencies create an opportunity to pause.

To slow down.

To step away from the noise, the pressure, and the endless stream of thoughts competing for your attention.

For a few moments, you can stop thinking about yesterday, stop worrying about tomorrow, and reconnect with the person who has been with you through every challenge you’ve ever faced: yourself.

That quiet moment is where clarity lives.

That quiet moment is where gratitude begins.

That quiet moment is where your happy place exists.

Take a deep breath, listen to the frequencies, and give yourself one minute.

You deserve that much. ✨

Why do so many people report similar experiences when listening to singing bowls?

Based on sound meditation studies, participant surveys, and clinical observations, three experiences seem to appear most often:

Vivid visual imagery

Many people report seeing colors, geometric patterns, flashes of light, or vivid scenes of nature behind closed eyes. Some describe floating through space, being underwater, or walking through a peaceful forest.

Emotional release

Others experience a sudden wave of emotion. It might be joy, gratitude, peace, sadness, or even tears. Sometimes emotions we didn’t realize we were holding onto finally have room to surface.

A shift in awareness

Many people describe feeling deeply present, calm, and disconnected from the usual mental noise of everyday life.

One explanation is that the repetitive tones and vibrations help the brain move away from constant external stimulation and into a more relaxed and reflective state. As the mind becomes quieter, thoughts, emotions, memories, and inner imagery can become easier to notice.

For thousands of years, sound has been used in meditation, healing practices, and spiritual traditions around the world. Today, many people use singing bowls as a simple way to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and create a sense of calm in an increasingly busy world.

Now it’s your turn.

Close your eyes, listen until the end, and notice what comes up for you.

Did you experience:

1️⃣ Visual imagery

2️⃣ An emotional response

3️⃣ A feeling of calm, presence, or stillness

Or something completely different?

I’d love to hear your experience in the comments.

Singing bowls are one of my favorite ways to create a mental detox from the noise of everyday life.

Simply close your eyes, take a deep breath, and repeat it three times. Then bring your attention back to your breath and allow the sound to guide you through the experience.

The vibrations of singing bowls can help calm the mind, reduce stress, and encourage a state of deep relaxation. Many people describe feeling more centered, clear, and balanced after a session.

In sound healing, different bowls are often associated with different energy centers, or chakras, throughout the body. As the frequencies move through the space, they can help bring awareness to areas where we may feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or out of balance.

For me, a sound bath is not about escaping life. It’s about creating a few moments of stillness where the body can relax, the mind can slow down, and we can reconnect with ourselves.

Close your eyes for 10 seconds. What did you see?

Don’t forget that place. Visit it more often.

Where did you go? Drop your place in the comments.
