🩶TODAY IS JAVAN ALLISON ASTHMA AWARENESS DAY! 🩶
September 29. A day that will forever mean something different to our family.
When you watch this video, you’re looking at a part of our story.
A story of hospital stays. Treatments. Medications. Fear. Prayer. Advocacy. Missed school days. Football dreams. And a little boy who refused to allow asthma to tell him what he couldn’t do.
As his mother, I lived this journey right beside him. There were moments when my only prayer was simply, “God, let my baby breathe.” 🙏🏾
And look at him now. 🩶
The little boy we once worried about being able to breathe is now a young man, author, asthma advocate and Division I student-athlete chasing the very dreams asthma could have convinced him were impossible.
That’s why today is bigger than Javan.
Today is for every child carrying an inhaler.
Every athlete competing with asthma.
Every parent who has sat beside a hospital bed.
Every family learning triggers, medications and action plans.
And every child who has ever wondered, “Can I still do this?”
YES, YOU CAN.
Javan’s diagnosis became part of his story, but it never became the ending.
