We help Broward County families build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter Mission Statement: Seeking to put God's love into action.
(1)

Habitat for Humanity of Broward brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Broward offers a "hand up" not a "hand out" to low to very low-income families who are unable to qualify for conventional financing but we are willing to work hard to improve their family's lives.

💙🏡 Happy DAF Day!

Today, Habitat for Humanity of Broward celebrates the generosity of those who support our mission through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs).

To everyone who has given through a DAF, thank you! Your generosity helps hardworking families in Broward County build strength, stability and brighter futures through affordable homeownership.

In honor of DAF Day, we invite you to continue making a difference by recommending a gift from your Donor-Advised Fund to Habitat Broward. Every contribution brings another family closer to the dream of owning a safe and affordable place to call home.

Together, we're building homes, communities and hope! 💙🔨

Today, we recognize World Habitat Day, observed on the first Monday of October each year.

In 1985, the United Nations General Assembly established World Habitat Day to remind us of a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves a decent place to live.

At Habitat for Humanity of Broward, we see every day how safe, affordable housing can create stability, strengthen families and help build thriving communities. Through the support of our homeowners, volunteers, donors and community partners, we continue working toward a Broward County where more families have a place to call home.

On World Habitat Day, we celebrate the power of home and recommit to building homes, communities and hope. 💙💚

Building beyond borders. 🇬🇹💙

Our Habitat Broward team had the opportunity to serve alongside families in Guatemala, helping create safer and healthier living conditions through projects that included bathrooms, water filters, stoves and improved flooring.

We’re grateful for everyone who helps make this work possible — both here at home and around the world.

🌎 Be a part of the journey and help us continue building a better future for families everywhere.

🏡💙 A new homeownership journey is about to begin!

We are excited to welcome our newest class of future homeowners for the 2026–2027 year into the Habitat Broward family.

Selecting this year’s cohort was an incredibly difficult process. So many families are working toward the dream of homeownership, and we are grateful to everyone who expressed interest in our program. Among applicants who met our eligibility requirements — including having lived or worked in Broward County for the past 12 months and earning between 60% and 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) — we carefully narrowed the group to our newest class of future homeowners.

We can’t wait to partner with these families throughout their homeownership journey and connect with their children through our Youth Empowerment Program. 💙🔨

Here’s to a new year of learning, growth and building brighter futures together!

Meet the Diaz Family, our Family Highlight of the Month! 🏡💙

Frank and Alicia are raising their six children with a strong foundation of love, faith, respect and determination. After 21 years of dedicated service with United Airlines, Frank and his family are now taking an exciting step toward becoming first-generation homeowners and creating a lasting legacy of stability for their children.

For the Diaz family, homeownership means more than having a place to call their own. It means providing a safe and secure environment where their children can grow, build memories and continue learning the values of kindness, generosity and supporting one another. Through Habitat Broward, their dream of an affordable home is becoming a reality.

We are honored to be part of the Diaz family’s journey and can’t wait to see everything this next chapter brings! 💙🔨
