🎓 Through the Promise Neighborhoods program, FLITE Center helps vulnerable youth improve their literacy skills through tutoring and academic support, empowering them to achieve important milestones such as earning their GED. 📚 This impactful program is made possible through funding provided by the Children's Services Council of Broward County using local property-tax dollars. 🙌 We are grateful to Broward County taxpayers and CSC Broward for investing in opportunities that strengthen our community. 🌟 Every young person deserves the chance to pursue their educational and career goals. ❤️

🎃 With Halloween coming soon, FLITE Center is readying for its Annual Fright Night Thursday, October 29, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FLITE Center HQ in Fort Lauderdale! 👻 We’re creating a spooky evening for youth in the foster care system featuring a haunted house, trunk or treat, music, games, food and Halloween treats! 🍬 Be part of the fun by volunteering to donate candy, assist with activities, serve food or decorate a trunk. 🕸️ Contact Tricia Cepeda at 954-625-5401 or [email protected] to RSVP and get involved in helping create a memorable Fright Night for the youth we serve! 🧟

Through support funded by property-tax dollars and provided through the Children's Services Council of Broward County, FLITE Center is able to offer programs that have great impact including its Healthy Youth Transitions (HYT) program. ⭐ This continued investment helps ensure that young adults aging out of foster care or in crisis have access to much needed services such as emergency shelter, resource and referral support, counseling and the guidance they need to successfully transition to independence. 🙌 We thank Broward County taxpayers and the Children's Services Council for helping our local youth. ❤️

FLITE Center welcomed new Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale members for a tour and an inside look at how we support youth in our community! ❤️ During their visit, they completed two impactful Done In A Day (DIAD) projects: reorganizing our onsite clothing closet, which is utilized daily by those we serve; and creating 12 housing bins filled with essential items for vulnerable youth moving into their first homes. 🏠 They also donated 50 duffel bags and bookbags through their Duffles of Dignity fundraiser! 🎒 We’re incredibly grateful for the Junior League of Fort Lauderdale, founders of FLITE Center! 🙌

FLITE Center received a generous donation of 10 brand-new, queen-sized mattresses from Sweet Dream Makers in Boca Raton! 🛏️ We are grateful for this much-needed gift and look forward to helping youth furnish their first apartments. 🌟 These mattresses will help create a more comfortable home for the young people who are ready to take the next step forward toward independence. ❤️ Please consider making your own donation at FLITECenter.org 🙌

Our heartfelt thanks to ReversaTatt Tattoo Removal in Boca Raton for generously providing free tattoo removal for a FLITE Center client. ❤️ We have been working with a survivor of human trafficking in Palm Beach County who has made significant progress toward stability and a brighter future. Tattoo removal is one step toward recovery. Their generosity is greatly appreciated.

The FLITE Center crew was thrilled to attend the 25th Annual Hispanic Women of Distinction Luncheon. 🏅 It was an incredible afternoon celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Hispanic women across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. 🌟 We are especially honored to celebrate Dr. Maria Mejia, Professor of Population Health at FAU and leader of "Rising Strong: Empowering Youth For Substance-Free Futures," a partnership between Florida Atlantic University and FLITE Center providing youth with vital mental health and substance abuse services. 🤝 This recognition is incredibly well-deserved and we were excited to cheer her on! 👏
