A New Home. A New Reason to Hope. ❤️
Through our Advocacy Program, JJCCF has been assisting Eli, who was recently diagnosed with bone cancer, while his pregnant mother struggles to make ends meet.

During an already overwhelming cancer journey, this family was facing another heartbreaking reality: they were homeless and living in a hotel.

Thanks to the generous, collaborative support of Live Like Tom Foundation, Eli, his mom, and his brother now have something every family deserves—a safe and stable place to call home. 🏠❤️

There is still a long cancer journey ahead, but today, this family have a very important reason to celebrate. They can face the days ahead knowing they have a home, stability, and a community standing beside them.

Meet 15 y/o Fabian battling relapse bone cancer as his single mother struggles to maintain her job to support her family. The family recently moved from Hialeah to Port St. Lucie to reside closer to extended family for needed support. Mom shared she is most concerned about covering her monthly rent ($2,400).

Mother’s quote: “Fabian is incredibly brave, but he cannot fight this battle alone. Every dollar raised will go directly toward our relocation, travel, and dietary costs, ensuring he keeps uninterrupted access to his oncology team while surrounded by family love.”

After 2 ½ years battling leukemia, Giulianna rang the victory bell with her identical twin and single mother by her side. Your donations provided financial stability for this family while facing adversity. Today, Giulianna is a thriving cancer survivor excited to be a freshman in HS.

Her mother shared: “The JJCCF is an absolute blessing to families that find themselves in the worst time of their lives. Having your child battle for their life and drowning in financial issues from being out of work to take care of them is a level of stress no parent should have to endure. I can't even express my gratitude to JJCCF and the donors deeply enough. The help we have received from them to cover bills throughout this has been remarkable. I don't know what I would have done without it. It allowed me to pay for my car, insurance and food so we could continue our daily hospital trips without worry."

We invite you to meet 13 y/o Eli battling bone cancer while homeless living in a hotel with his pregnant mother and younger brother. With your support, our priority is helping this family move into a home they can afford so they can remain stable and focus on Eli’s complex medical needs.

As his sole caregiver, Eli’s mother is struggling to keep the family safely housed while managing the demands of her job and Eli’s treatment. Without a vehicle, she relies on public transportation to take Eli to his many hospital appointments in two counties. He will soon undergo surgery on his leg to remove cancer tumors and place a prosthetic.

Hospital Social Worker’s quote: “Any support available would greatly help alleviate some of the financial and emotional burdens associated with caring for a child with a life-threatening diagnosis and allow his family to focus their resources on Eli’s ongoing care and the well-being of the family.”

Mother’s quote: “… since August 2026, doctors have discovered two cancerous tumors in his left femur, leaving him unable to walk and drastically changing his life.”

At just 6 y/o, Isabella spent 4 years of her young life fighting leukemia. Her journey included chemo, radiation, immunotherapy, transplant, and CAR-T cell therapy. After enduring so much, she rang the Victory Bell at Nicklaus Children's Hospital!

Her mother shared: “JJCCF is in our hearts and has our deepest gratitude for all the love and support we received, and for showing us that we are not alone. We treasure the memories of the Christmas party Isa was invited to attend. It made all the difference in the world!

For us, it is a true honor to share Isa’s story so that it can bring hope to other families going through difficult times today, and at the same time show the people who support JJCCF how much it impacts the life of a child and a family.”

We are deeply grateful to our donors who helped provide Isabella’s family with rent to maintain their home; giving her family much-needed financial relief while they focused on her treatment and recovery.
