COMMUNITY WALKING ONE-STOP: TAKING GVI TO THE STREETS

The City of Fort Lauderdale and the Fort Lauderdale Police Department are bringing resources directly into the neighborhood through our upcoming Group Violence Intervention (GVI) Walking One-Stop.

This is not just another community event — it’s a movement.

We’re walking side-by-side with residents, community leaders, service providers, and public safety partners to connect individuals and families with real, immediate support:

🔹 Workforce & job placement resources
🔹 Education & training opportunities
🔹 Mental health & counseling services
🔹 Victim advocacy support
🔹 Mentorship & youth engagement programs
🔹 Direct access to police and city leadership

**Why a Walking One-Stop?**
Because prevention happens in proximity. Trust is built face-to-face. And solutions work best when they’re accessible, visible, and community-driven.

Group Violence Intervention focuses on:
✔️ Focused deterrence
✔️ Community partnership
✔️ Meaningful support for those at highest risk
✔️ Accountability balanced with opportunity

We are committed to reducing violence, increasing opportunity, and strengthening relationships — one block at a time.

📍 Location: 1412 Sistrunk Blvd @ P
📅 Date: Saturday,March 21, 2026
⏰ Time: 12 PM to 3 PM

If you live, work, lead, mentor, or serve in the community — we invite you to walk with us.

Together, we are not just responding to violence.
We are preventing it.
