Since 2011, Voices for Children of Broward County has served more than 4,000 young people through our programs. Voices is committed to leveling the playing field so that every child in the child welfare system has his or her basic life needs, essential education, and social experiences every child deserves, a

Guardian ad Litem volunteer to help guide his or her safe passage through the child welfare system, opportunities in which to prosper, and a successful journey into a healthy, stable, thriving life as an adult. Voices focuses exclusively on providing gap funding and programs solely for children who have an open and active dependency case in Broward County. Through our innovative programs and services โ€“ School Break Food Program; Dream BIG Days; financial resources for emergency and normalcy needs; and Guardian ad Litem volunteer recruitment, retention, and training programs โ€“ Voices for Children of Broward County works to provide the necessary resources and tools to lead a healthy, safe, and happy childhood.

Tonight, we kicked off Voices in Action, our new quarterly series bringing our community together for a fun, hands-on way to learn more about Voices and make an impact for the children we serve.

For our very first event, friends joined us to stuff 45 teddy bears ๐Ÿงธ, each one ready to bring a little extra comfort to a child in foster care.

Thank you to everyone who spent the evening with us, learned more about our work, and helped make our first Voices in Action such a special one.

More than 70 children in foster care received new clothes, backpacks and school supplies during Voices for Children of Broward County โ€™s annual Back-to-School Extravaganza at Old Navy in Hollywood.

The Aug. 2 event featured shopping with community heroes, costumed characters, breakfast, face painting, music and a surprise visit from Florida Panthers mascot Stanley C. Panther! ๐Ÿพ

These teddy bears are ready to bring a little comfort to the children we serve, and we need your help preparing even more. ๐Ÿงธ

Join us for Teddy Bear Stuffing Night and spend the evening with us. Learn more about the impact of our work while helping us prepare teddy bears for children in foster care.

Each bear will be given to a child we serve as a small reminder that someone is thinking of them and that they are not alone.

Weโ€™re getting ready to drop off all of the backpacks and event supplies and meet with the team at Old Navy as we put the final details in place.

We cannot wait to welcome more than 100 children and their families for a special morning of shopping, fun, and excitement!
