Hello, we are Broadview Park Civic Association. We are a volunteer-read organization commited to strengthening our neighborhood and improving the quality of life in Broadview Park, Florida. We host bi-monthly meetings to keep residents informed, gather feedback and work together on local issues. We also organized events, clean-ups and youth volunteer opportunities, and seasonal drives to bring our

community closer. A little history of Broadview Park:

In November, 1955, Jan and Jack Washburn moved into a brand new development of 1200 homes called Broadview Park. Because they were swimming instructors, they thought it would be great to have a community swimming pool. They rallied their new neighbors to the cause. They were advised to form a civic association and incorporate with the state. In May, 1956, the association met and formally incorporated as a non-profit organization. Instead of starting with a pool, they were advised to build a community building. At that first meeting they also appointed a committee to form a volunteer fire department and a committee to develop teen activities and athletic opportunities. Since then the Broadview Park Civic Association has taken on many projects over the years in support of its community, Founded by, and still worked by its residents the Broadview Park Civic Association continues to improve the homes, families and lives of those living here. We are always accepting new board members and all of those who reside in our neighborhoods are welcome at every meeting, whether you're a homeowner or renter, a long time resident or new to the area. We invite you to get involved and help us keep Broadview Park a safe, connected and vibrant place to live! PLEASE NOTE: The Civic Association is NOT a Homeowner’s Association. We are volunteers working to improve our neighborhood; we have no legal authority to force residents to comply with our requests.

📢 Actualización Importante: ¡Proyecto de Drenaje de Broadview Park! 🚧🌧️

Vecinos, queremos compartir la actualización más reciente del Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division sobre el Proyecto de Mejoras al Drenaje Pluvial que continúa en nuestra comunidad. Esta inversión de $21.7 millones es un gran paso para reducir las inundaciones en el vecindario y fortalecer nuestra infraestructura.

Aquí tienes un resumen rápido de lo que está ocurriendo en nuestra área:

✅ Área 5 – ¡Trabajo por finalizar!
La instalación del drenaje y el pavimento de la carretera ya están completos.

🚧 Área 4 – Construcción Activa:

🛠️ Qué esperar día a día

Verás vehículos de construcción, maquinaria pesada, cierres de carriles y desvíos claramente marcados.

Habrá tráfico temporal de construcción, ruido y vibraciones en las zonas activas de trabajo.

👮‍♂️ Un oficial de tránsito estará en el sitio durante las horas de trabajo para mantener la seguridad de todos.
🚗 Nota: El acceso a todas las casas y negocios se mantendrá en todo momento.

📢 Important Update: Broadview Park Drainage Project! 🚧🌧️Neighbors, we want to share the latest update from the Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division regarding the ongoing Stormwater Drainage Improvements Project. This $21.7 million investment is a major step forward in reducing neighborhood flooding and strengthening our community's infrastructure. Here is a quick breakdown of what is happening in our area:

✅ Area 5 – Work Wrapping Up! Drainage installation and roadway paving are complete! Temporary striping is down, and permanent lines will be painted as soon as the new asphalt cures.

🚧 Area 4 – Active Construction: Drainage pipe installation is currently ongoing along SW 42nd Avenue. Work has also begun on two stormwater pump stations near SW 25th Street (along the canal), which is expected to continue for about 9 months. What to expect day-to-day 🛠️Crews are working weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Expect to see construction vehicles, heavy equipment, lane closures, and clearly marked detours. There will be temporary construction traffic, noise, and vibrations in active work zones.

👮‍♂️ A traffic officer will be on-site during work hours to help keep everyone safe.
🚗 Please note: Access to all homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.

Good afternoon, neighbors! As we get ready for our Neighborhood Cleanup tomorrow morning, we want to make sure we focus on the areas that matter most to YOU.

• Any area you’ve noticed could use some love

Reminder! Broadview Park Community Cleanup June 6!

The Community Cleanup is open to all. No registration is required; however, please try to notify us in advance so the county can provide the necessary materials.

The cleanup is expected to run approximately one to two hours. Service hours will be verified and issued on site. Please ensure that any participating student brings the required school paperwork so it can be properly signed.

Did you know that dead batteries do not belong in your trash can? 🗑️From environmental damage to fire hazards caused by lithium-ion batteries, proper disposal is important. The County's Solid Waste and Recycling Services Division encourages YOU to safely recycle household batteries through its Battery Collection and Recycling Program.🪫 Drop off rechargeable, automotive, and other approved batteries at participating collection sites and household hazardous waste centers throughout the County.
