Middle River Terrace Neighbors,
The coming Wednesday evening may be your final opportunity to influence city officials and make a generational impact. We are in a battle to keep high-rise buildings off NE 13th Street, and we need everyone to rally around MRTNA.
Each available individual can help! How? Join us at the Planning and Zoning Board meeting to prove this neighborhood values reasonable development that reflects the current character of our neighborhood. Be there in person to raise your hand when Troy Liggett, our MRTNA President, asks for a show of hands of all Middle River Terrace residents in attendance who oppose high-rise buildings and favor a "main street" approach to reasonable, mid-rise (max) redevelopment of NE 13th Street. This may be our last and best chance to use our individual and collective voice.
Please join me, the MRTNA President, MRTNA members and our allies at this Wednesday's Planning and Zoning Board meeting. Public comment on the City's proposal to rezone the NE 13th Street corridor is first item on the agenda. Come fill the seats and raise your hand to show the Board Middle River is not the neighborhood for high-rise buildings or runaway development. As a 20-year resident of Middle River Terrace, I see this as pivotal moment after years of advocacy. Show up for preserve our neighborhoodβs character for a better today and tomorrow for Middle River Terrace.
