October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Glimmer of Hope Foundation is proud to join communities worldwide in raising awareness, honoring survivors, and supporting those currently navigating a breast cancer journey.πΈπ
Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a unique story. With an estimated 1 in 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, early detection remains one of our most powerful tools in saving lives. Routine screenings, such as annual mammograms for those at average risk starting at age 40, and knowing the early signs of breast health changes can dramatically improve health outcomes.
This month, we encourage our community to:
β’ Get Screened: Talk to your healthcare provider about scheduling your routine mammogram.πΈ
β’ Stay Informed: Learn the risk factors and recognize normal versus unusual breast changes.πΈ
β’ Support One Another: Reach out with compassion to colleagues, friends, or family members touched by this disease, reminding them they do not walk this journey alone.πΈ
Together, through education, ongoing research support, and compassion, we can help make a meaningful difference.πΈπ
