We are proud to announce that Funding Arts Broward has been named AFP Fort Lauderdale/Broward’s 2026 Outstanding Foundation—exactly ten years after FAB first received this honor in 2016.

This recognition belongs to everyone who has shaped FAB’s story: our founder, Francie Bishop Good; our founders; past and current presidents and Board members; members, donors, volunteers, staff, grantees, community partners; and everyone who has supported our mission.

Together, we help fill critical funding gaps and ensure that Broward’s arts and cultural community continues to thrive. This is what community looks like—people supporting one another and making a meaningful difference together.

Francie’s work has long reflected a deeply personal and compelling artistic voice, and this special exhibition offers an opportunity to experience her work in a focused solo presentation.

TO THE NINES is coming to MAD Arts Museum for an immersive evening bringing together art, fashion, performance, and philanthropy in support of South Florida’s creative community.

This isn’t your typical gala. Throughout the evening, guests can experience live painting, theatrical performances, fashion inspired by Greek mythology, interactive art experiences, and an auction — all within the incredible setting of MAD Arts.

It’s an opportunity to experience the arts a little differently, discover local creative talent, and support programs that help strengthen our cultural community.

Funding Arts Broward’s 2028 Grant Cycle Pre-Qualification Application is now open.

The 2028 Grant Cycle is open to eligible nonprofit arts and cultural organizations presenting qualifying programs in Broward County. Funding opportunities are available in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Arts Education for youth in grades K–12.

Organizations interested in applying should review the 2028 Grant Application Instruction Booklet before beginning the pre-qualification process. The booklet includes eligibility requirements, grant criteria, required documentation, funding limits, and important dates for the 2028 cycle.

All FAB grant applications are administered through our Submittable grant portal. Applicants should use the portal to create or access their account, complete required forms, upload documentation, and submit their application.
Organizations that successfully complete pre-qualification will be notified regarding eligibility to proceed to the full 2028 Grant Application.

We encourage applicants to review all requirements carefully and begin the process early.

Celebrating FAB’s George Gadson!

Funding Arts Broward is proud to congratulate George Gadson, FAB Board Member and Grant Chair, on his recognition for his work supporting nonprofit capacity building in Broward County.

As Senior Consultant with the DBDC at Florida Atlantic University, George, alongside Rafael Cruz, Assistant Director of the SBDC at FAU, has helped steward the Children’s Services Council of Broward County’s Capacity Building Program. Over the last decade, the program has issued more than 80 awards benefiting over 60 organizations and representing more than $1 million invested in strengthening our nonprofit community.

George brings that depth of experience directly to FAB. As Grant Chair, his knowledge of nonprofit sustainability, organizational capacity and community investment helps guide one of the most important things we do: put our members’ philanthropy to work supporting Broward’s arts community.

And that is what makes FAB a little different. Our members don’t simply support the arts from the sidelines—they can get IRL involved. FAB members have opportunities to screen grant applications, learn firsthand about local arts organizations, participate in member-only arts experiences, and connect with others who believe a strong arts community makes Broward stronger.
