🎉 We are honored to have received a proclamation from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners recognizing the 50th Anniversary of Florida Singing Sons!

The proclamation was read during our Spring Pops Concert as part of our yearlong celebration of this milestone season. We are grateful to Broward County Cultural Division for this recognition and to all of the choristers, families, alumni, staff, volunteers, and supporters who have been part of our story over the past 50 years.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Limmie Pulliam.

In 2024, singers from Florida Singing Sons had the privilege of performing alongside him in Pagliacci with Florida Grand Opera — an experience our choristers and staff will always remember.

Limmie’s extraordinary talent, warmth, energy, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone around him. We are grateful our singers had the opportunity to share the stage with such a remarkable artist and person.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire FGO community. His artistry and light will not be forgotten. đź’™

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, during the second performance of John Rutter’s Mass of the Children, Florida Singing Sons was honored with a special proclamation from the City of Fort Lauderdale recognizing our 50th Anniversary.

During intermission, we were delighted to welcome The Honorable Dean Trantalis, Mayor of Fort Lauderdale, who presented the proclamation declaring March 15, 2026 as Florida Singing Sons’ 50th Anniversary Day in recognition of five decades of inspiring young singers through music education, performance, and artistic excellence.

We are grateful to the City of Fort Lauderdale for this meaningful recognition and proud to celebrate this milestone season alongside our wonderful collaborators, the Nova Singers.

Our final performance of this magnificent work, John Rutter’s Mass of the Children, takes place Tuesday, March 17 at 7:30 PM at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Plantation. We hope you will join us for this powerful and inspiring concert as we celebrate music, collaboration, and 50 years of Florida Singing Sons.
