Friends and neighbors in Sailboat Bend,
If you are looking for something different to do this weekend, the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale is hosting their annual consignment sale right here in the neighborhood at the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum on West Las Olas.
The Junior League has been part of Broward County for nearly 90 years and has helped launch several organizations many of us know today, including Jack and Jill Children’s Center, Kids in Distress, Henderson Behavioral Health, the Museum of Discovery and Science, and the Flite Center.
The event is also a nice reminder that shopping secondhand can be a great alternative to fast fashion. You can find thousands of gently used items while supporting a local nonprofit at the same time.
