Join the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Broward, Urban League of Broward County, and the Jewish Federation of Broward County (Jewish Federation of Broward County) for a special evening bringing the Black and Jewish communities together for meaningful conversation, connection, and community.

We’ll gather around the Shabbat table for a kosher-style dinner, hear from inspiring community leaders, share experiences, and create space for real dialogue about how we can continue to stand together against hate, advance justice, and build a more united Broward.

This is about choosing who will represent our communities, our families, and our interests.

The right to vote was hard-fought. Generations before us marched, organized, sacrificed, and demanded a voice in our democracy. One way we honor that legacy is by using the power they fought to secure, every election, including the primary.

Juneteenth is a reminder of courage, progress, and the ongoing pursuit of freedom and opportunity.

Today, we honor the generations who fought for liberation, equality, and the rights many of us exercise every day. We also recognize that their work continues to inspire how we show up in our communities, our workplaces, and our everyday lives.

As young professionals and emerging leaders, Juneteenth invites us to reflect on the shoulders we stand on, celebrate Black excellence in all its forms, and recommit ourselves to building a future where opportunity is accessible to everyone.

Whether you’re spending today with family, supporting Black-owned businesses, learning more about our shared history, volunteering, or simply taking time to reflect, we hope you find a meaningful way to honor the significance of this day.

Because of those who came before us, we have opportunities they could only dream of. Because of us, future generations should have even more.
