Civic engagement matters. Being engaged doesn’t start on Election Day. It starts with staying informed, understanding how policies affect our communities, showing up for important conversations, and ensuring our voices are heard.

That’s why we’re joining community leaders, advocates, and residents from across South Florida for We the People. A free rally, march, and concert.

📍 Downtown Fort Lauderdale
📅 July 3
⏰ Doors Open: 5:30 PM | Program Begins: 6:00 PM

Together, we’ll gather to advocate for our communities, including voter education, healthcare, housing affordability, and the future of Florida.

The future of our communities is shaped by those who engage.

See you on July 3.

📅 SAVE THE DATE

Mark your calendar for July 3. Together, we’ll join forces with We the People for a march, rally, and free outdoor concert in Fort Lauderdale.

As recent legislation continues to dismantle hard-fought protections and chip away at our democracy, voting rights, and civil liberties, this is not the time to be silent.

The future of healthcare, fair wages, voting rights, and a more equitable Florida is on the line.

History has shown that progress is never guaranteed, it is won when ordinary people choose to show up, speak out, and stand together.

This is one of those moments.

Can we count on your presence and participation?

Don’t just scroll by. Drop a 🖤 in the comments if you’ll be standing with us, and stay tuned for registration details and location information.

In celebration of Juneteenth, we invite you to experience “Selma Is Now: The Photography of Spider Martin”,  a powerful exhibit capturing the courage, resilience, and unity that shaped the Civil Rights Movement.

This moment in history wasn’t fought alone. Leaders from the Black community stood alongside allies, including those in the Jewish community, in the fight for justice, equality, and voting rights.

Through newly restored images, this exhibit brings the march over the Edmund Pettis Bridge in Selma, Alabama to life, reminding us of the power of collective action and the responsibility we carry today.

📍 African American Research Library and Cultural Center
📅 Join us on June 10, 2026 @6:45pm
Exhibit is on view through June 27, 2026

Our May General Body Meeting, “The Power of Balance: Building a Life That Supports You,” created an intentional space for young professionals to pause, reset, and engage in honest conversations about mental health, emotional well-being, discipline, self-awareness, and what it truly looks like to care for ourselves while navigating the demands of personal growth, career ambition, and everyday life.

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers:
💪 Maurice Bruton ➡️
🧠 Joanna Avin ➡️
🩺 Dr. Anse Daniel ➡️

Each speaker brought powerful insight, transparency, and practical tools that empowered us to rethink how we show up for ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The energy in the room was a reminder that community matters and that no one should have to navigate burnout, pressure, or personal growth alone.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and poured into this experience. 💚

If you’ve been showing up…but still feel off, drained, or out of sync…this is for you.

At ULBCYPN, we are reminding you that
✨ Rest is not laziness
✨ Boundaries are healthy
✨ Asking for help is strength

Check in with yourself today. Then check in on someone you care about.
