For years the Compassionate Franciscan Sisters of the Poor have been caring for children, mothers and the elderly in the Chokaa community, despite having very little themselves.

Their classrooms operated from an old converted chicken coop and dozens of Sisters shared a small rented two-bedroom house while continuing to serve those who depended on them every day.

It was clear that their mission had outgrown their space.

That’s why we partnered to build the Queen of Hope Mission Center - a place where the Sisters can live, welcome volunteers and continue providing care, education and support to their community.

A beautiful milestone and a day we’ll always be grateful to have witnessed. 💚💛

⚽ As football fans around the world get ready for the FIFA World Cup, these students at Maua Primary and Junior High School in Kenya are already enjoying the beautiful game.

Recently, footballs were donated to support the school’s P.E. programme and football team. For a school with limited sports equipment, they have quickly become a source of excitement, activity and fun.

What we love most about these photos isn’t the football itself - it’s the joy that comes with it. Friends gathering on the field, children trying new moves and smiles that seem to get bigger with every kick of the ball.

The World Cup may be played in front of millions, but the love of the game starts in places just like this.

A few more progress photos from San Sebastián 💚💛

It’s amazing watching this community slowly take shape, one wall, one foundation, one home at a time.

We can’t wait to show you what this looks like in a few months. Thank you CEPUDO for the pics 🥰

Phase 1 of the San Sebastián Community Development project is already complete and 30 families now have safe, dignified homes.

But the reality on the ground is that the need didn’t stop there. That’s why Phase 2 is now underway.

35 more families will soon have the same opportunity - safe housing, access to water, sanitation, electricity and the foundation to rebuild their lives with dignity!

It’s not just construction… it’s stability for families who have been living without it for far too long. And honestly, seeing it take shape again is something special.

If you’d like to stay connected to the journey or help us expand future phases, we’d love that too 💚💛

Some of the most meaningful moments from Kenya happened in the in-between moments. 💚💛

On our way to visit an elderly home, we stopped at a local craft market where artisans sell handmade items to support themselves and their families.

Later, we spent some time with the elderly, sharing smiles, conversations and simple moments of connection.

There’s something really special about getting to witness a dream become reality. ✨

Years ago, this was just land and a vision to create a safe home for children living on the streets of Kenya. Sandra had the opportunity to visit during those early stages and even help plant one of the trees on the property.

Today, the St. Joseph’s Home of Hope stands complete. A beautiful reminder that every act of service becomes part of something bigger. 💚💛

After seeing the completed home, hearing Sr. Wandia share why it all began made everything hit differently. 💚💛

This was never just about building a place… it was about creating safety, dignity and hope for children who deserve so much more.

And now, we’re so close to welcoming them home. 🙏

During a recent mission trip to Kenya, Sandra received this heartfelt message from beneficiaries whose lives were touched through love and generosity. 💚💛

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate not only mothers, but also the women whose nurturing spirit, compassion and care continue to impact lives around the world.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Global Humanitarian Mission 🌷

Acknowledge someone in the comments whose motherly love has made a difference in your life 🥰

A few years ago, this was just a vision.

Now the home is complete. 🙏

Walking through St. Joseph’s Home of Hope in Kenya was emotional knowing that children who once slept on the streets will soon have a safe place to call home.

We’re now awaiting final approval for the children to begin moving in. 💚💛
