Thank you WSVN-TV for coming along with us as we surprised Isaac with his first pairs of EnChroma color filtering glasses and for helping us raise awareness for those affected by color blindness.

One of the most common colors people with color vision deficiency struggle with is red. For instance, Kevin's red shirt can look dark gray or orange to those with CVD.

Here’s a crazy stat to think about. What’s even crazier is that Eye See Color Project offered to go into the Broward County School District, screen the children and help purchase color filtered glasses for children who cannot afford them.

Unfortunately our proposal was denied for an unknown reason.

If you know any schools or groups in south Florida that would be interested in partnering for a screening event, please let us know…

Here’s an example of why it’s so important for teachers to examine worksheets for potential color clashing.

You’ll see, for January and February, besides color, there is nothing to differentiate the three data points (blue, red and green).

However, in March and April, you can see the difference adding patterns can make for a colorblind student.

Some situations in school where this might play a role include: interpreting a bar or line graph in math, reading a legend on a map in geography and mixing or playing with colors in art or science.

If photocopy doesn’t work, you might have to add description words or patterns to help differentiate.
Although it’s additional work, it will make a huge difference for your colorblind students.

Computer - Systems Maintainer, Signals Intelligence Analyst
Combat - Infantry positions

Others- Motor Transport Operator, Cargo Specialist, Healthcare Specialist and many more !!!!
