The Early Learning Coalition of Broward County, Inc.’s mission is to provide the resources, advocacy, leadership, coordination, and oversight for early care and edu

cation from birth to school-age and to support access to school-age care to ensure children’s success in school. We provide services for School Readiness (Childcare Assistance subsidies based on financial aid), Free voluntary pre-kindergarten and Florida’s Child Care
Resource & Referral (CCR&R), which is a free service that helps families identify and select quality early learning programs.

🎒✨ Enroll Your 4-Year-Old in FREE Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK)! ✨🎒
It’s time to register your child for Florida’s FREE Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program for the 2026–2027 school year—available to eligible Broward County families!

📚 Choose Your Program Option:
🗓️ School-Year VPK: Starts August 2026 (540 instructional hours)
☀️ Summer VPK: Starts June 2027 (300 instructional hours)

⏰ Note: The school-year VPK voucher generally covers about 3 hours per day. Any additional hours are not covered—be sure to ask providers about their schedules and costs.

💙 ELC of Broward was on the ground supporting families at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank event! 🧷👶

This week, our ELC team set up right outside and connected with families waiting in line to pick up diapers for their little ones. While they waited, we made the moment count! 🙌

✅ Offered FREE developmental screenings with Help Me Grow Broward — completed right there while families waited in line 📋✨
✅ Sent every family home with a goodie bag full of books and coloring pages 📚🖍️
✅ Shared info on School Readiness Childcare Financial Assistance 💰
✅ Connected families with Free VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) 🎒🍎
✅ Introduced families to Broward Bookworms, our free book program 📖💕
