Attention South Florida nonprofits, the 2026 FLoatarama LGBTQ Youth Fund Grant is accepting grant submissions until Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Following the successful FLoatarama 2026 annual fundraising cycle, FLoatarama is pleased to announce its initiative to invest in community projects that serve LGBTQ+ youth in South Florida.
FLoatarama’s Board of Directors recognizes that now, more than ever, LGBTQ+ youth in South Florida are particularly vulnerable. While attacks on LGBTQ+ youth are happening across the State in public school settings, community-based organizations that can rise to the occasion of addressing their needs, especially on issues like homelessness, health education, and mental health, will be more important than ever in providing a network of support.
Fulfilling the mission for which it was established, FLoatarama seeks to fund bold and innovative projects that address the unique and pressing needs of LGBTQ+ youth in South Florida. Projects will identify and address existing issues with urgency, prioritizing the well-being of youth. Preference will be given to projects that approach these issues with creativity and sensitivity. Understanding the challenges of working with youth in the current climate and incorporating solutions to overcome them will be hallmarks of any successfully funded project.
Applications received will be reviewed by the grant approval panel organized by FLoatarama. Follow-up interviews may be requested to gain further insight into the parameters of the proposed projects.
As FLoatarama’s philanthropic partner, The Our Fund Foundation is managing the “FLoatarama LGBTQ Youth Fund” and disbursing funds to awarded projects.
