Domestic violence is one of the leading causes of homelessness. The Women in Distress of Broward County's Crisis Line can be reached 24/7 at 954-761-1133. For information on recognizing healthy and unhealthy patterns when making connections with others, consider attending the South Florida Wellness Network’s Domestic Violence Awareness Course on October 8th at their office in Fort Lauderdale. The City of Tamarac will be hosting a drive-thru food distribution on September 25th at Water’s Edge Park in Tamarac. On October 3rd, Farm Share and The City of Sunrise will host a drive-thru food distribution at Torre Fuerte Church in Sunrise.
