🎒 Back-to-school season can bring excitement—but it can also bring stress.

For some children and teens, stress does not always sound like, “I’m worried.” It may appear as headaches, irritability, sleep changes, stomachaches, or withdrawal from family and friends.

Parents and caregivers: notice changes, create space for honest conversations, and ask gentle questions such as, “How are you feeling about going back to school?”

If concerns continue, worsen, or interfere with daily life, consider seeking support from a qualified mental health professional. Early support can make a meaningful difference.

Let our children know they do not have to face difficult feelings alone. 💚

Listen without judgment or rushing to fix everything. Their response may reveal where they need encouragement, reassurance, preparation, or additional support.

Sometimes, one thoughtful question can open the door to connection.
