Provides innovative programs that help promote the adoption & enrichment of Broward's foster youth.

The Gallery is unique: in concept- it is displayed in many public places just like an art exhibit- and in ex*****on - every photograph is a vibrant composition taken by a professional media or portrait photographer. Coupled with a bio card that decribes each childs personality and interests; the inner spirits of these unique children are brought to life. The Gallery presents an emotional appeal to the community to help:

For 20 years, Heart Gallery of Broward County has worked to help children in foster care find their forever. Thanks to our community, thousands of children were seen for who they are, individuals deserving of dignity, hope, and belonging.

Today, we’re sharing an important update. One made with care, reflection, and deep respect for the trust you placed in us.

Due to recent changes in Florida law that limit the public display of photos of children in foster care, along with overlap in available services, our Board of Directors has made the thoughtful decision to wind down Heart Gallery as an operating nonprofit.

This is not the end of our mission. Remaining funds will establish the Heart Gallery Fund at the Community Foundation of Broward, ensuring long-term support for programs that benefit children in foster care and adoption in our community.

We are deeply grateful for your trust, generosity, and belief in this work. The impact you helped create will continue for generations to come.

Meet Sarah, a married adoptive mother of two children with special needs and a foster parent to three more. Families like Sarah’s are at the heart of the WE CARE program. Despite her experience, she struggled to find crucial resources—her oldest has Autism, and the other has ADHD. Navigating Medicaid-approved therapy and managing unexpected behaviors left her overwhelmed.

Sarah was connected to the Heart Gallery of Broward through her adoptive parent support group and was part of the focus group that helped shape the WE CARE program. She was thrilled to gain direct access to much-needed resources.

Attending the Heart Gallery’s inaugural resource fair was a turning point. She connected with organizations like Broward College and learned about CDTC’s (Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center) Early Steps evaluation. Most importantly, WE CARE’s ongoing training became a vital support system.

"I have one place to go for resources instead of having to ask around like I did before," Sarah shared. "What I really love about the WE CARE program is the training. As an adoptive mother of two and a foster mother of three, I need more training, and the available training is not enough.”

As a member of the WE CARE family, Sarah now feels supported, informed, and less overwhelmed—improving her mental health and her ability to care for her children.
