This recognition celebrates Patrick’s leadership and accomplishments as a business leader, as well as his commitment to giving back to the community.

Patrick brings his time, leadership and perspective to Broward Partnership’s mission of reducing homelessness in Broward County. Among his goals for the years ahead is to help reduce homelessness in Broward County, with a personal goal of making a difference by his 50th birthday. We are proud to have Patrick working alongside us toward that goal.

Every year, we come together on August 17th to celebrate National Nonprofit Day. This day commemorates the incredible work of nonprofit organizations around the world and around our community that are dedicated to making a difference in people's lives. The holiday was first established in 1992 by Congress as an opportunity for nonprofits and their supporters to recognize and thank all those who contribute time, energy, and resources towards philanthropic causes. Let's take this day to show our appreciation for these amazing individuals!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our longtime friend and former Board member, John Castelli.

John’s impact on our organization and our community extended far beyond his years of service on our Board of Directors. Through his committee work, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering commitment to our mission, John helped strengthen our efforts to support those experiencing homelessness.

John had an extraordinary ability to turn vision into action and compassion into change. A true pioneer, advocate, and community builder, he dedicated his life to creating a more inclusive and caring world. We are deeply grateful for his friendship, his service, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his beloved husband, Stephen, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. In accordance with his family’s request, contributions in his memory may be made to the Broward Partnership for the Homeless.

John’s generosity, passion, and spirit will continue to guide the work we do, and he will be greatly missed.
