Broward Partnership is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the largest comprehensive homeless services provider in Broward County. The Partnership operates the Central Homeless Assistance Center in Fort Lauderdale and the North Homeless Assistance Center in Pompano Beach providing street outreach, a day respite program, 498 beds of emergency shelter, over 100 units of scattered-site permanent housing interventions in Broward County, rapid rehousing, and a complete array of health and social services for men, women and families with children experiencing homelessness. The Partnership has won best practices awards from the Florida Department of Children & Families and the U.S.

Jorge signed up online to serve dinner because it felt like the right thing to do, and joined Matt and Anthony at Broward Partnership. The three quickly found a shared enthusiasm for giving back.

We’re also grateful to Nova Southeastern University’s Physical Therapy Department for returning to serve lunch, tour our facilities and learn more about the programs and services that support individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Domestic violence affects individuals and families across every community. We may not always know what someone else is experiencing, so this month serves as a reminder to be mindful of one another, lead with compassion, respect personal boundaries, and avoid making assumptions about someone’s circumstances.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This month also reminds us to prioritize our health. Take time to learn about your individual risk, follow recommended screening guidelines, and talk with your healthcare provider about the screenings that are appropriate for you. Early detection can make a meaningful difference.

This October, let’s be intentional about checking in, showing compassion, respecting privacy, and taking care of ourselves.

Be mindful of what others may be carrying. Be proactive about your health and recommended screenings. Offer kindness without judgment. Encourage the people you care about to prioritize their health.

Helping hands, curious minds, and a willingness to pitch in!

Thank you to the Global Leaders United club at Monarch High School for spending an evening volunteering with Broward Partnership. The students served dinner, sanitized our playground and high-traffic areas, and organized our clothing room. They also asked thoughtful questions and took the time to learn more about our mission and the people we serve.

High school students, your time and talents can make a difference, too. If you’re 16 or older, we’d love to have you volunteer with us.

A celebration filled with sabor, rhythm and plenty of fun! The Broward Partnership Team came together for a lively Hispanic Heritage Month celebration featuring delicious food, music, dancing and, of course, a piñata. It was a wonderful afternoon of culture, connection and celebration.

A new pair of socks may seem like a small thing, but for someone experiencing homelessness, it can make a real difference in comfort and dignity.

This October, celebrate Socktober with Broward Partnership by rallying your school, workplace, church, or friends to collect new socks for men, women, and families with children.

Bring your donations to our Central Homeless Assistance Center at 920 NW 7th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. Enter through the adjacent parking garage; the Partnership is located on the left of the pedestrian crosswalk.

One pair at a time, you can help meet a basic need for someone in our community.

During Hunger Action month the Partnership is hosting a non-perishable food drive to fill our pantry. Your contribution ensures families and individuals in our care will have fully stocked cabinets as they move onto independent living. Items most needed are: canned meats & tuna, cooking oil, canned goods, peanut butter and jelly, pasta & sauce, dish detergent, condiments

What makes Chefs Helping the Homeless so special is the way people come together to do good. Our sponsors, chefs, restaurants, table hosts and guests each play a part in making an evening that is as generous as it is delicious, all in support of the men, women and families we serve.
