What if helping someone started with simply noticing a need?
That’s the idea behind FR5. 💛
Instead of asking people to apply for themselves, we ask friends, neighbors, teachers, coworkers, family members and community members to nominate someone they know.
Our Angel Riders make that reach even bigger. They’re connected to communities across the country and help us find stories and needs we may never discover on our own.
FR5 creates a network of people looking out for one another.

Every month, Freeride provides bicycles and tricycles to people of all ages across all 50 states who truly need them.

In honor of International Youth Day! We’re celebrating the young people who remind us just how much possibility can come with the freedom to move. 💛
Freeride has donated over 450 mobility items to children, helping provide more opportunities to play, explore, connect with their communities, and experience greater independence.

At Freeride, we believe mobility should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we started our FR5 bike initiative.

FreeRide on the 5th is our year-round commitment to giving brand-new bikes to people in financial, emotional, or social need of movement.

A bike can mean:
• Getting to school
• Getting to work
• Reconnecting with community
• Healing through movement

Because mobility has the power to change lives.

We’re now more than halfway through the year, and we’ve been inspired by every story, nomination, and life we’ve had the privilege to be a part of. None of this would be possible without our incredible community. Whether you’ve nominated someone, donated, shared our mission, or cheered us on, you’ve helped create real impact.

And we’re just getting started.

Everyone’s needs are different, and at FreeRide, we do our best to accommodate them.

FR5 provides more than just classic bicycles. Depending on each recipient’s needs, we may provide children’s tricycles or adult tricycles to help ensure every rider receives the mobility solution that’s right for them.

Meet Jose. 💙

Jose was nominated by a friend who described him as one of the most selfless people they know, someone who’s always willing to help others without ever expecting anything in return.

Jose had wanted a bike of his own. But like so many people, other responsibilities always came first. Today, thanks to an Angel Rider who took a few minutes to share his story, Jose has his bike.

Sometimes a bike is more than transportation. It’s a chance to get outside, explore, save money, and enjoy the simple freedom of riding.
