Pharmacy Q-Flow Service Update

Q-Flow, our pharmacy’s electronic ticketing system, experienced a network-level issue affecting its database servers on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Service was restored late Tuesday evening; however, tickets submitted during the outage were not retained. Patients who submitted a Q-Flow ticket on Tuesday, Oct. 13, should resubmit their request. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and apologize for the disruption. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.

Gate operations for Columbus Day holiday weekend:

Wilson Gate: closed Friday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 12.

Brandenburg Gate: closed Saturday, Oct. 10 through Monday, Oct. 12.

Chaffee (main) Gate will remain open 24 hours a day from Friday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 12. On Tuesday, Oct. 13, Chaffee Gate will be closed in both directions from 9-11:30 a.m. for maintenance. During this closure, Brandenburg and Wilson gates will open to support access to the installation.

The southbound Chaffee Avenue on-ramp to US 31W (Dixie Highway) will be closed for roadwork Oct. 12-14. The northbound Chaffee Avenue on-ramp to US 31W will remain open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Note: These on-ramps are not the same as Bullion Boulevard, which connects to the Chaffee (main) Gate.

The Fort Knox Visitor Center will remain open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, including during maintenance on the Chaffee (main) Gate.

🇺🇸 NO VETERAN SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND — EVEN IN DEATH 🇺🇸

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EDT, the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (KVCC) will have the solemn honor of providing a final resting place for eight unclaimed Veterans and one Veteran spouse through the Kentucky State Missing In America Project (MIAP).

With the assistance of Arch L. Heady Funeral Home Resthaven, a Dignity Memorial funeral home in Louisville, these men and one spouse will finally be laid to rest with the dignity, respect, and recognition they deserve.

Some have been waiting for decades.

During the ceremony, a bell will toll following the reading of each name, recognizing the individual life and service of each Veteran. Representatives of their respective military branches will render honors and fold and present the American flag in their memory.

For decades, some of these Veterans' cremated remains waited unclaimed. On September 30, they will wait no longer.

They served our nation.

They wore the uniform.

Their service mattered.

Their names will be spoken. Their service will be honored. And they will finally be laid to rest among their fellow Veterans.

We invite our Veterans organizations, military families, first responders, community partners, and the public to join us and stand in their place as their extended family.

U.S. Army Fort Knox

The repatriated remains of Technician Fifth Grade Robert W. Hirst, a Soldier missing since World War II, will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery–Central in Radcliff on Thursday, Sept. 24. A funeral service will begin at noon at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Following the service, Hirst will be transported to Radcliff for his final resting place, with arrival expected around 1 p.m.

The public is invited to attend and show their respects.

United States Marine Corps Veteran Dwight A. Yokum will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (KVCC) with no family expected to be present at his committal service.

Join us Friday, Sept. 11 for the annual Patriot Day ceremony at the General George Patton Museum of Leadership, commemorating 25 years since the attacks.

The observance will be held at 9 a.m. in the 9/11 exhibit room. On display is the Foam 161 aircraft rescue vehicle operated by firefighters from the then Fort Myer Fire Department during the attack on the Pentagon.

Serving as guest speaker will be Sgt. Maj. (retired) Tony Rose, who was on Lt. Gen. Timothy Maude’s personnel staff, serving as the Army’s senior career counselor sergeant major during the attack on the Pentagon. His office was directly above where American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into west wing of the building.

The ceremony is open to the public.

The funeral is on Friday, August 14, 12:00 Noon, at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College St. Elizabethtown with Pastor Sean Ryan to officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:30 P.M. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
