Need food assistance? We can help.
Our pantry serves all Scott Valley and Sawyers Bar residents.
Scott Valley includes the area from the bottom of Forest Mountain at Moffett Creek through Fort Jones, Greenview, Etna, Callahan, and everywhere in between.
Fort Jones Community Food Pantry offers two programs.
The first, through Feeding America, lets you line up under the pavilion and choose from donations collected by volunteers six days a week.
The second is a free monthly food box funded by a Modoc Siskiyou County Action Agency (MSCAA) grant for low-income households in Scott Valley or Sawyer’s Bar. Choose from more than 31 items, including meat, based on your preferences and nutritional needs. Each box provides 3–4 days of food, depending on household size. Registration is required.
Good news: Additional grant funds let us double shelf-stable cans and boxed meals and raise the low-income eligibility limit from 100% to 150%, so more people can qualify for monthly food boxes.
