🐾 POSITION OPEN: CHIEF KITTEN CUDDLER 🐾

Safe Haven Cat Rescue is looking for a few volunteers to help care for our adoptable cats and kittens at our PetSmart adoption center in Fort Gratiot.

Your responsibilities may include:
🐱 Cuddling cats and kittens
❤️ Reminding them that their forever family is out there
🥣 Refilling food and water
🧹 Scooping litter
🧸 Giving them a little playtime and attention

The time commitment is minimal. The biggest challenge of the job? Leaving the kitties at the end of your volunteer shift.

No special experience needed…just a love for cats and a willingness to help.

This $5 Friday - Here is just a peek into our week at Safe Haven Cat Rescue… 🐾

✅ PetSmart adoption event
✅ Cats & kittens adopted into forever homes
✅ Sweet orange abandoned cat Murphy rescued 🧡
✅ Murphy neutered, vetted & almost adoption-ready
✅ Mama “Baby” welcomed her newborn kittens
✅ Kittens of all different ages brought into rescue
✅ Another group of kittens trapped & safe
✅ Vet, vaccines, spay/neuter & medical care
✅ NewFosters caring for babies, kittens & adult cats
✅ TNR work continuing for community cats
✅ Another litter we’re working to secure
✅ More cats & kittens being prepared for adoption
✅ And, of course… feeding, cleaning, litter boxes, medications, transportation and all the behind-the-scenes work that happens every single day. 😅

Our life is a little crazy — but this is what rescue looks like. ❤️

🐾 FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY 🐾

Here’s a little peek into just one week at Safe Haven Cat Rescue. ❤️

🧡 The sweet orange cat you see here is Nata — now Murphy — who was rescued after being abandoned. He’s been neutered, vetted and is almost ready for his forever home.

🐱 Our little mama Baby welcomed her kittens.

🐾 More kittens were trapped with help from Anita’s Loving Paws and are now on their way to health, safety and eventually forever homes.

And we’re already working to secure another litter.

There is always another cat or kitten waiting for help.

On this Five Dollar Friday, a donation of $5 — or any amount — helps us provide food, litter, veterinary care and lifesaving support while continuing our TNR work to reduce the number of stray and feral cats in our community.

$5 may feel small, but together it helps us say YES to the next cat who needs us. ❤️🐾

Congratulations to Olivia and Ginger, who are officially family! 💕🐾

It sure looks like Ginger hit the jackpot! Caiden and Connor were there for the adoption, and these two friends can’t wait to shower Ginger with even more love and attention. 🥰
