📢 Inclement Weather Update: 1/22/25, 3:45 p.m. 📢

Due to hazardous road conditions and freezing temperatures expected to persist through the morning, our schools will follow a PowerUp Asynchronous Learning Day schedule on Thursday, Jan. 23. All extracurricular activities are canceled.

💻 Students should complete assignments from home using Canvas or SeeSaw, and teachers will communicate via Remind or Class Dojo.

📢 Inclement Weather Update 📢

Richmond County Schools will hold a PowerUp Asynchronous Learning Day tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 21, out of an abundance of caution due to forecasted inclement weather.

🍎 Thanks to our amazing staff and volunteers, students received devices and to-go meals to support learning at home last Friday.

💻 Students should complete assignments from home using Canvas or SeeSaw, and teachers will communicate via Remind or Class Dojo.

📣 Inclement weather update as of 1/9/25, 6:09 p.m. 📣

Since our last announcement, the early evening National Weather Service briefing elevated the winter weather status in our area under an advisory, increasing the risk of sleet and ice in our area tomorrow evening. Out of an abundance of caution, our schools will dismiss early on Friday, Jan. 10. All field trips, after-school activities, and the district Spelling Bee will be postponed and will be held on Friday Jan. 17.

We will continue to monitor current and projected weather conditions overnight and notify staff and families immediately if any information changes.

We understand that this decision may inconvenience our staff and families, but it is made with the well-being of our community in mind. We are committed to providing a safe, warm, and secure environment where students can learn and thrive and ensuring they have access to meals and the care they need during the school day.
