L.E.A.P is a non-profit community action agency that serves all of Washington County. Located in Fort Edward, we have been aiding individuals and families in defining and reaching their goals, economically, educationally and more for over 50 years. Our organization believes that supporting individuals and families in attaining self-sufficiency is done best through building relationships and strong

community networks. L.E.A.P services include Head Start and Early Head Start programs, employment counseling for adolescents and adults, emergency assistance through our food pantry, winter coat drive, community garden, and assistance with rent or utilities, transportation for senior citizens and community building partnerships and activities. It's Washington County Fair week! Just like you, we're excited to immerse ourselves in a celebration of community and the agricultural bounty that our county produces. We're happy to be joining with our friends from Healthy Families of Fulton and Washington Counties again, this year with new partners from WAIT House and Fidelis Care , to bring fairgoers the Family Rest Tent.

As in years past, the Family Rest Tent, located across from the restrooms, provides a clean, cool(er), private space for breastfeeding, diaper changing, and rest from the sun and heat. Learn about the amazing programs and services available to your family while you take a quick break from the day's festivities!

Paper applications will be available for families with Early Head Start and Head Start Preschool-aged children (and for expectant families as well) while LEAP staff are on site. Let us help get you and your family ready for a lifetime of success!
