Fort Edward Community Food Pantry

Fort Edward Community Food Pantry The Fort Edward Community Food Pantry provides groceries to those in need within the Town and Village of Fort Edward, New York

The Fort Edward Community Food Pantry is a missional project of both The Village Baptist Church in Fort Edward and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Edward, New York. The Fort Edward Food Pantry as we know it today was started in the early 1980’s and has been located at The Village Baptist Church since the mid 1990’s. We are a totally volunteer effort of both churches. We receive no federal or

state funding and rely on monetary donations from individuals and businesses for our funding. We do purchase food from the Northeastern Regional Food Bank as well as receiving donations from individuals, churches and various school and civic organizations. The Fort Edward Community Food Pantry provides groceries to those in need within the Town and Village of Fort Edward. Use of the pantry is restricted to once per month. We are currently assisting about 80 Fort Edward Families each month. We are always looking for new volunteers to either pack orders or to be on the delivery team when patrons come to pick up their groceries. In addition, we are also always looking for new donors to the pantry. If you would be interested in either volunteering or donating, please contact Keith or Lynne Griffin at 518-747-5939.
