Recent actions taken by the administration—specifically the April 9 directive from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to terminate collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) across the Department of Defense—are a direct assault on our rights. This follows the implementation of Executive Order 14251, which seeks to strip over one million federal employees of their collective voice under the guise of "national security".
Now more than ever, staying united in AFGE is our most powerful defense. Here is why your membership and active participation are critical right now: Our Union is More Than a Contract: A contract is a document, but our union is a community of hundreds of thousands of patriotic civil servants. While they may try to tear up the paper, they cannot break our solidarity or our commitment to each other.
Maintain Your Membership: Do not resign. Losing your membership only weakens our collective ability to fight back.

The Local has voted to give out up to 10 Aldi gift cards for (dues paying members) a family that may be struggling this holiday season. If you know of a family in need, please call the hall and nominate them 315-772-3039.
