Drunk Driving Prevention Program (DDPP)
The DDPP will drive you home completely free of charge! If you want your car driven home the DDPP will also drive your car home for free. Participants must be at least 21 years old. The DDPP operates every Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm until 6am. The DDPP operates at instillation's all over the country. Participants must have a valid military ID, sign
up and agree to the DDPP liability wavier while sober in order to request a ride home from the DDPP. Who is eligible to participate in the DDPP? Anyone is eligible to participate as long as you are over the age of 21 and live within a thirty-mile radius of a DDPP office (or anywhere on the island of Oahu, HI). The DDPP is available to anyone and is not limited to military personnel. The DDPP funded through private donations. The DDPP is also able to receive funding through grants, and government contracts. Is my donation tax deductible? All donations to the DDPP are tax deductible. The DDPP is a tax-exempt IRS 501 (c) 3- 170 (b) (1) (A) (vi) public charity. The DDPP is 100% volunteer ran which means all of your donation goes toward program expenses. Donations are used for things like advertising, and safety equipment such as breathalyzers, portable vehicle video surveillance units, and GPS systems. Tax-deductible donations include cash donations, property (such as clothing, computers, furniture, or real estate), and vehicles. Cash donations are accepted in the form of cash, credit card, pay pal, check, or money order. AFI 34-223 COMPLIANCE NOTICE: THE DDPP IS A PRIVATE ORGANIZATION.
