⚽️🌡️ Anybody dreaming of days like this again?!
Rewind to Spring Season kickoff — April 11, 2026: a blustery 40° (barely!) with everyone bundled up and ready to play. 🥶⚽️

Fast forward to today… Week 1 of fall practices and we're looking at a 105° heat index! 🥵☀️

So, which do you prefer?
🥶 Spring soccer: “Can I feel my toes?”
OR
🥵 Fall soccer: “Can I survive this heat?”

Perhaps our new slogan...

⚠️ FDSA Activity Update - NO Practices Tonight

Due to the heat measurement readings exceeding Iowa Soccer guidelines for player activity, there will be NO scheduled FDSA activities this evening.

We were hoping to see the temps come down a bit as we entered the evening hours but it does not appear to be the case...

Communication through playmetics will be pushed out to all coaches and participants. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay cool and hydrated!

Huge thank you to Doyle Construction! 🙌They generously donated both materials and labor. 🧱🔨

Our North entrances are now updated and finished! 🏟️

Getting your game day wagons into the facility just got a whole lot easier on the North side with cement walkway pads directly connecting the bike trail to the field entrance! 🚴‍♂️➡️🌱

Go Hawks...or Cyclones?⚽️

Several members of our CHAOS girls' teams spent Thursday evening in Ames taking in the Iowa State vs. Iowa Cy-Hawk women’s soccer showdown! ❤️💛

It was a fantastic opportunity for our players to watch high-level women’s soccer, enjoy the rivalry atmosphere, and spend time together off the field.

We’re making improvements to the fields! 🚧🌱

The three North entrances are getting new cement pads installed, creating a smooth connection from the entrances to the bike path.

Please avoid the North entrances while construction is being completed. Instead, use the South parking lot or enter through the large access gate in the Northeast corner.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to improve the facility!

🍂⚽ Fall Rec Season is almost set! ⚽🍂

We’ve got just a few last-minute adjustments to make, but things are coming together nicely. There’s a lot to be excited about this fall!

A few quick highlights:

👏 U10 Boys & Girls stay separate!
Thanks to a strong turnout of girls, we were able to keep separate U10 boys and girls divisions for another season.

⚽ U7 & U8 Boys stay divided!
Strong numbers at the boys' U7 and U8 levels allow us to continue offering separate U7 and U8 divisions this season — another great sign of growth in the program.

🌟 U7/U8 Girls blend returns!
The girls will return to play in a blended U7/U8 format this season, giving us more variety and flexibility when building out team schedules. This historically is the set up.

🔥 U12 is going to be busy!
We’ll have 4 full U12 rec teams, while FDSA is also supporting 2 CHAOS teams at the same level. That’s a lot of soccer for our U12 players!

And across the entire program, we’re looking at:

• U5 Academy — 20+ players
• U6 Boys — 4 teams
• U6 Girls — 4 teams
• U7 Boys — 4 teams
• U8 Boys — 6 teams
• U7/U8 Girls — 6 teams
• U10 Girls — 4 teams
• U10 Boys — 7 teams
• U12 Coed — 4 teams
• U15 — 2 teams
• CHAOS - 4 teams

So much growth, so many players, and a lot to look forward to this fall! 🙌

Huge thanks to all of our coaches, volunteers, families, and players for continuing to make this program what it is. We’re almost ready — let’s play! ⚽🍂
