Three years have passed, yet Dad's legacy endures, continuing to make a difference for those in need. 🥹💓 Sletta Rein reached out to us after her daughter Frances spent a week hospitalized in Portland, Oregon. During her stay, she was provided with a RAMP Board. Reading Frances' story fills our hearts. 🌟💙
"Frances is a 32yr with Down Syndrome. Her words are not always understood by people who don't have daily contact with her. Having the board helped her to interact more independently with the nurses and not have to rely solely on me, her parent, to express her needs or desires. When she was in school, many of these symbols were used in what was called the Peck Board system. Often, teachers would use these individual squares for students to ask questions, make choices, or see their own schedule of activities for the day. When I saw this board in the hospital, I got excited knowing that there was a familiar way to communicate for my daughter and others." ~ Sletta Rein
