SREC is booking camps at Southern Rockies Camp and Retreat for this season. NM is finally open so we are seeing a desire to get outside.
Some ideas we are considering; would like feedback.

*Local plant identification using in person and app assistance. What to do with and know about medicinal and therapeutic uses of local plants.

* “The Chosen”- intense spiritual weekend watching “The Chosen” with in-depth discussion and walking out His calling!

*Pioneering weekend - exploring and application of lost pioneering techniques from carpentry to food preservation; canning and drying

*ATV trail riding- spend the days out exploring and experiencing the majestic beauty of the Lincoln National Forest with picnic lunch and Personal Chef private sunset dinners with a view

One of Bills former Fort Davis HS students created a support group to assist our local communities during this Corona Virus precautionary time. We are so proud of her for thinking about the needs of our communities. That has spurred response from others......like us.

If you are unable to work your regular job or hours have been reduced. PM me and we can provide alternative jobs temporarily. We have some gardening/mowing chores, trimming, painting, repairs, etc.

Trade jobs are sitting empty and our teens need to know about it. We just don't hear about that option for post high school careers often enough.

We have been in communications with the USFS and our CFRP planning team and will continue developing a really exciting plan to work along the Scott Able Road FS 460 and FS 460a through Southern Rockies Camp and Retreat Center for a submittal early 2021. We are learning so much about conservation groups, projects and work teams. If you want to be involved in some fashion we have lots of opportunities. Watch our page for updates and message us for more information on how you can help.

We are working on a Forest Service Grant and we are securing interested parties to achieve fire mitigation and reforestation in the Scott Able Canyon of the Sacramento District of the USFS. Message us if interested. Tight deadline of Jan 13 submittal.
